UKSandy | 72 comments I'm looking ahead to what to read after I've managed to get Lover Mine and read it at least twice. Do I move onto Lords of the Underworld or the Demonica Series - can anyone help?

message 2: by Leigh (new)

message 3: by UKSandy (new)

UKSandy | 72 comments Leigh: thanks - that is what I'm looking for another hot brothers series.

message 4: by Leigh (new)

Leigh (llogan24) well, there ya go. Demonica definitely fits that definition!!! :)

message 5: by Audrey (new)

Audrey Cook Kolbek (audreykol) I read Lords of the Underworld and they are pretty good. Haven't read the Demonica series, but heard they were really good. So, hopefully one day I will get to that series, too.

Michelle | 79 comments Midnight Breeds by Lara Adrian and Dark Hunter/ Dream Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon

message 7: by UKSandy (new)

UKSandy | 72 comments Hi Michelle: I tried the first book of the Midnight Breeds and thought it was too similar to BDB, I will go back to it eventually. I heard about Sherrilyn Kenyon and have got her on my TBR pile.

new_user | 1389 comments I vote Demonica! :D They really seem like brothers, those guys, trash talk and everything.

message 9: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) I have read and enjoyed both, but I really really enjoyed the Demonica series. My votes for that one!

Sandy I totally read question wrong!!!!

message 12: by Lisa X (new)

Lisa X Read LOTU and wasn't into them. However it seems like a lot of other people really liked the series. About to start the Demonica series.

message 13: by AmandaG (new)

AmandaG (amandag3) | 30 comments I've read both, liked both, but my vote would be for Demonica next. But get around to LOTU too!

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 737 comments I'll be the odd one out and vote for LOTU over Demonica. ;)

message 15: by Heather (new)

Heather | 243 comments Highly recommend LOTU series; I like how the author adds a little something extra to the characters as the series goes on. There are two new ones coming out this summer I believe..

message 16: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Michael | 5 comments I would recommend Demonica! I've read a lot of posts where people say LOTU are similar to BDB, but I disagree. Yes, they are vampires, but the similarities end there(IMHO). Go with the Demons!

message 17: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (satori1977) | 47 comments I haven't read LOTU series yet, so I can't comment on them. But I am reading the Demonica series (just picked up the latest). Very hot stories. The brothers are definitely bad boys. If you like BDB, I really think you would enjoy these books.

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 737 comments I agree with Valerie that I don't really see any big similarities between LOTU and BDB - other than it's a bunch of guys living together to battle an evil - but that's only the basic premise. Everything else is different.

message 19: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I haven't read either but have #1 of both of them sitting in my bookcase waiting to be read.

message 20: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) I love Demonica and have LOTU in the TBR pile - but I love me those demons and there is a hot werewolf (Luc) in them too

message 21: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) oh i'm salivating now lol!

Try Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling Series - this is very good and then move onto Demonica which I am loving.

message 23: by Kristin (new)

Kristin | 89 comments oooh! I have some more books to add to my list!

PS: I read Midnight Breed and really enjoyed it, but it is not nearly as good as BDB, but still an enjoyable series.

message 24: by UKSandy (new)

UKSandy | 72 comments I just can't seem to let go of BDB - I've just finished Zsadists book again and cried again. I'm so looking forward to spending time with Butch.

message 25: by Kate (new)

Kate (kshiv) | 96 comments I just read 3 of the Demonica series and really enjoyed them. They are hot. I don't try to compare ot BDB anymore because JR Ward is so good at her character development that I just get too sucked in. I cried in Z and Bella's book too, UKSandy!
Back to Demonica, it is different and the characters and species are very original. There are alot of species mentioned but it's good. I also like how the characters are good parents. You don't read enough of that. BTW, one more week to John Michael.

message 26: by NanaV (last edited Apr 19, 2010 07:08PM) (new)

NanaV (nanavamp) I just finished the BDB series for the third time in preparation for JM's arrival. I cry in the same places...you'd think I could handle it by now.

exxcentrica Read both, you won't be disappointed.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 461 comments I agree with Kimberly. If you like the Brotherhood of warriors aspect, the LOTU has that, but she goes in a different direction. The first book is shaky, but don't give up. I fell in love with the Lords, and now I'm hooked after book three. Plus it has some cool Greek mythology.

Demonica is a fantastic series. The worldbuilding is excellent. Larissa is mad creative. The first book hooked me, but I like the second and third better. Larissa sucks you in and makes your heart bleed for the characters.

message 29: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa theJeepDiva (thejeepdiva) The Demonica series was awesome! It is my favorite pnr series after the BDB. I have not read LOTU yet. I am waiting for Into the Dark to be published. I have all of the others, just waiting for that book.

message 30: by Amy (new)

Amy Beckelhymer I got the first book of the demonica series. I am really looking forward to reading it.
