message 361: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie she never said this is all she said to descrbe him and it is rite outa the book "im taken aback by how normal he looks.most of the stylists they interview on television are so dyed, stenciled and surgically altered theyre grotesque. but cinnas close cropped hair appears to be its natural shade of brown. hes in a simple black shirt and pants. the only concession to self alteration seems to be a metallic gold eyeliner that has been applied by a light hand. it brings out the flecks of gold in his green eyes. and, despite my disgust with the capitol and their hideous fashions, i cant help but think how attractive it looks.' thats all it says

message 366: by Haley (new) - rated it 4 stars

Haley Hands down. Hunger Games. I enjoyed reading Twilight, but it was just another generic easy read for me. Hunger Games had a really good plot and believable characters. Plus, Katniss isn't a Mary Sue. :)Yay!

Ashlyn oh my gawd, really? Compared to Hunger Games, Twilight is not good enough to be competition to THE Hunger Games. Duh

message 388: by Juliet (new) - rated it 5 stars

Juliet I know, I just finished my book, I think I'll go start another one. Dang, if only I had gone to the library today. I usually have like 6 books out at a time, but I only have one right now and I don't want to read it. *sigh*

message 389: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie what is it?

message 390: by Hina (new) - rated it 2 stars

Hina Anna Lee wrote: "My brother read the hunger games in 6 days and soon finished catching fire and mockingjay. He gave the first one 5 stars and the others (get this) LESS than 5 stars. Do you guys hear this? Catching..."

I agree with your brother. The Hunger Games was brilliant but then the series slowly got worse as it went along. Catching Fire was okay, but Mockingjay was terrible.

message 391: by Kenzie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kenzie maddie wrote: "YELL AND SCREAM AT THEM UNTIL WE HAVE TO HOLD THE BOOK IN FRONT OF THER FACES TO MAKE THEM REALIZE THAT THE SERIES IS AWEEEESSSOOOMMEEE...overboard maybe but i would if owned them"

this actually seems like somthing i would do to convince someone to read an amazing book. it works most of the time ;)

message 392: by Hina (new) - rated it 2 stars

Hina Or I just go on and on and on about it until my friends get sick of me and just read it to shut me up. It works. (:

Anna Lee Juliet wrote: "I know, I just finished my book, I think I'll go start another one. Dang, if only I had gone to the library today. I usually have like 6 books out at a time, but I only have one right now and I do..."

I know what you mean.

Sabrina Even Hunger Games, but only based on my emotional reactions to each series. With Twilight I found myself wanting to be madly in love, but with the Hunger Games I felt each of Katniss' emotions, and I found myself scared to go on because it made my depression worsen a little bit because I knew she could only choose one, but I wanted her to be able to have both.

message 395: by Ger (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ger The Hunger Games all the way!
For all of you who loved The Hunger Games trilogy, please treat yourself and read Book One of the new trilogy by Veronica Roth, 'Divergent'. You won't be disappointed, as good, if not better, than The Hunger Games.

Yesenia Is this really a question? Seriously, is it? It shouldn't even have to be asked. But I suppose I'll amuse the discussion creator and say even though it is painfully obvious The Hunger Games.

Specials by Scott Westerfield, I can't seem to get into it

Sabrina Even Juliet wrote: "maddie wrote: "what is it?"

It gets better! I promise. I loved the whole series, although the 4th was my least favorite.

Doreen Fiona wrote: "I loved Twilight, but real men do not sparkle.
Neither Gale or Peeta did.
Go Hunger Games!!!!"

So true!
