action??what action??? you mean the 10 page long fight at the end?? that action?

Jenbebookish Hunger Games, Most def. Even tho I will admit that it seems like the Hunger Games is almost trying to replicate the Edward and Jacob love triangle thing with Gale and Peeta.

message 158: by Holly (new) - rated it 4 stars

Holly Hunger Games!!!!

message 159: by Mindi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mindi Poelwijk I loved both series so much. I just can't choose.

message 160: by MJ (new) - rated it 3 stars

MJ I would have to agree if I had to choose, i wouldn't be able to

Nurlely It is somehow weird to compare the series.
Hunger Games series is dystopian novel while Twilight series is romance-supernatural one. The ideas are different.

message 162: by Stevie (new) - rated it 4 stars

Stevie I received the 1st four Twilight books as gifts, read the 1st two, then gave them all away to an acquaintance who doesn't care about quality in literature.

Definitely Hunger Games.

Isa0059 no doubt, very easaly : HUNGER GAMES !

This comment fits me perfectly!!! I love both!!

Janessa Hensrud Hunger Games.... totaalllyyy.. more people are in to the action/romance books than the vampire/paranormal books.

Jessica Are you kidding?! I had to force myself to finish Twilight and I didnt even read the other three books! On the other hand,I could not put the Hunger Games down!! GO HUNGER GAMES! Soo is anyone excited for the movie! I am ready to see how they portray the characters....hopefully they wont screw it up like Percy Jackson!!!

Iskreads I have never read Twilight but from what i hear Hunger Games seems waaaaay better. Really, it seems like a romance novel in a Vampire diguise.

Laurence I have to admit. I was laughing pretty hard when I saw the name of this discussion.
How do I put this nicely... erm...
So you're asking me whether I enjoyed a story about a kick ass teen bloodbath, that has some romance in it, without making it sound unbelievably mushy; or a story narrated by an overly depressed, socially awkward, misunderstood, teen about how her life sucks and Edward is too good for her blah blah. (well that's unfair, since I did sort of enjoy Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. And Katniss does sometimes act like that.) But, my point still stands. It's no contest.
HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY.

Cassidy Hunger Games I think the book was wriiten in a better way. Hunger Game's plot is well written too.

I had never thought of that, until you pointed it out! there are similarites, but each has their own circumstances and scenario.

message 178: by Jessica (new) - added it

Jessica Hahah, I'm sorry, but I'm confused! ahah

Savannah The Hunger Games is written better and the author is better but Twilight is more of a fun book and not serious and is just for fun while THG is still fun but darker so there for they cannot be compaired

message 180: by Deb (new) - rated it 5 stars

Deb Hunger Games. I like character development, creativity, and some sort of plot in the books that I read.

Juliet GRAMMAR!!!!!!!

message 189: by Jo (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jo Exactly.

Once again, I resort to my haiku--

Twilight is ********
I think you all really know
What that really means.

message 190: by Juliet (new) - rated it 5 stars

Juliet you kill me Josephine

message 191: by Debra (new) - rated it 3 stars

Debra Driza I really enjoyed the Twilight books when I first read them (well, Breaking Dawn, not so much) but The Hunger Games trilogy is one I'll re-read again and again and again (though even with those, I didn't like the last one as much--what's up with that?)

So definitely HUNGER GAMES wins for me.

Jessica Gomez I actually like both series, but Hunger games would win in a fight no doubt. I like Twilight before they turned it into a freak show. Now its too over rated. I like Stephenies style of writing, The Host was much better than Twilight.

message 193: by Ashley (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ashley I think the only similarities is that they are both Y.A series that are being made into movies. If I have to choose, I would choose Hunger Games. I love them both but Hunger Games for the win!

message 194: by Lena (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lena The Hunger Games are really AMAZING! And, I can't wait to see the Hunger Games movie with Josh Hutcherson as peeta!

Raely Hunger Games!

I like Twilight but The Hunger Games are so much better!

message 198: by Iris (new) - rated it 5 stars

message 200: by Hannah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Hannah Hunger Games... no contest

and by the way, all you Twilight lovers, I have grounds to speak on because I was one of the obsessed, unfortunately all of you crazies that run around screaming about Team Edward/Team Jacob ruined it for me... and now, I am happier that I have found something so much better: The Hunger Games
