Twilight or Hunger Games?

I loved both series. I would have to say it would be aged based. I am in my 40's. I loved both. However, I would reccommend Twilight only to those 17 or above due to the nature of the content in the last book. However, I have reccommended The Hunger Games to as low as 5th grade. While both are great, I think the Twilight has more mature content. Great love stories in both. I also reccommend to all Twilight readers The Mortal Insstruments series by Cassandra Clare... They were great.
When i read the Twilight series i was like, "OMG nothing could ever be better than this!" but my first thought when i finished the Hunger Games series was "WOW this is so much better than Twilight." I love Twilight and i think Stephenie did an amazing job but nothing compares to The Hunger Games. Nothing.

I liked Twilight a lot, hated New Moon, liked Eclipse, liked almost everybody in Breaking Dawn except Jacob's part. So, in average, Twilight series is okay, except Jacob's parts.I loved Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay. I loved Peeta and Katniss, and everybody else, including Gale. So, in overall I love Hunger Games series and the characters. All about the series is fantastic!

I absolutely loved the Twilight series and the sparkly vampires, but I prefer The Hunger Games series. Overall, they were just better books. During Twilight, there were times I wanted to skip ahead because it started to slow down. This was never the case with The Hunger Games. I was totally enthralled from the first page of the first book to the last page of the last book.

I enjoyed both of these series but for different reasons. It's not fair to compare apples and oranges.

Well obviously its Hunger Games.I used to be a huge Twilight fan... That is before I realized how incredibly poorly it is written, and how ridiculous the plot line is... I mean - think about it... what even happens in Breaking Dawn? Its so freaking boooooring, and still they feel like they have to make it into 2 films, just because Harry Potter's doing it. Its ridiculous.
Hunger Games is amazing though! Its well written, with every feeling involved (not just teenage dreams about dating the hottest guy in school) and then there's suspense all the way through, with some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G characters!! And for one Katniss is actually a person who deserves the love of her heartthrobs, nothing like Bella XD That's all I have to say... :-D

Hunger Games, ive read both and i think that twilight is for teenaged girls who wish they had an attractive boyfriend (sorry, but its true), but hunger games is like so intense and exciting and kind of romantic... if you like that stuff
Hunger Games, certainly, but I must admit I've never read more than excerpts from the Twilight series because the plot and writing style were not attractive to me.
I am so glad to see that most people agree with me that Twilight can't even compete with the Hunger Games. I know a lot of people who are crazy over Twilight and I just don't see it. Sure, I really liked it when I read it, but that was a long time ago and thinking back it is indeed kind of shallow and has a lot of things I really don't get. So yeah, Hunger Games all the way!
Hunger Games hands down. The second in the series, "Catching Fire," is the best.

I have to go with "Hunger Games" I love you Stephenie Meyer for what you brought to the world of the supernatural with your teen angst love story between a mortal and immortal but Suzanne Collins did you one better. Gotta love the post apocalyptic insanity! So yeah... "Hunger Games" Series it is!

hunger games, the first twilight was good and the movies are great, but they need to give it up, its gone over the top and the 2nd-4th books in twilight were terrible. the only part i didn't like about the hunger games was the end because i <3 gale. hunger games hands down.
I think this is an unfair comparison. They are two different genres paranormal vs distopian. You are all saying you prefer distopian. Fine, but lets compare Twilight to the Fallen series or the Hush Hush series and Twilight wins hands down. Someone said vampires were so last year? Well, Breaking Dawn came out in 08, so yah. Meyer's vampires are a symbol of eternal marriage. Books are not just for entertainment people, they represent the way we view life.

I loved the way Stephanie Meyer really rounded up the Twilight series and made the ending so happy and kept feeding the fans more. But, even though I didn't exactly like the end of Mockingjay, I'm still going to have to go with The Hunger Games because there was so much suspense and action and it literally had me screaming and crying. So, I vote Hunger Games (: Team Peeta <3

The Hunger Games. Duh. Although I detest that Collins introduced the love triangle factor, I didn't focus on this to read the book. You see, Twilight is completely about the romance. That's all there is. Instead, The Hunger Games has both, and the romance isn't even the main factor.
