Mae Hunger Games! Where is the contest? Twilight is a horrible piece of writing that should never have been published. Hunger Games will live on!
May the odds be EVER in your favor!

Makayla I do like Twilight, but I can't even begin to compare it to the Hunger Games!!!!!!!!! THEY RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3

message 604: by Riah (new) - added it

Riah Well everyone here is obviously a Hunger Games fan. Go to Twilight discussion instead of a HG and ask the same question. Half of them wont know what you're talking about, the other half will scream "TWILIGHT! Don't ask stupid questions or I'll use my newly acquired vampire powers on you!" (And yes, some fans have said things like that!)

message 605: by Kelsey (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kelsey That is a really hard choice because they are both pretty good, i have read both of them and loved them

Courtney Ann This isn't even up for debate. Hunger Games is far superior in every way. The characters, the plot, the way it's written. It's awesome. :)

Jessica Natalie wrote: "Hunger Games was awesome Catching Fire was Ok... Mocking Jay was Horribly slow nothing really happened"

agreed!

Diane Hunger Games.
While I love Twilight (and I'm definitely more attached to the characters in Twilight), Hunger Games was the better read in my opinion.

message 609: by Laura (new) - rated it 5 stars

Laura Definitely Hunger Games!

[Coco] They are both totally different books... so it's hard to compare them. In Twilight, you pretty much know what's going to happen before it does. But The Hunger Games is suprising and suspenseful... so I guess I like THG better.

Kelsey Coco wrote: "They are both totally different books... so it's hard to compare them. In Twilight, you pretty much know what's going to happen before it does. But The Hunger Games is suprising and suspenseful... ..."

how could you tell what was going to happen in twilight some things yes maybe but alot of it you really couldn't the stuff you could would be them starting to date yeah i assumed that that would happen but not all the story no i wouldn't have known it before hand.

Kaitlin Taylor THE HUNGER GAMES! why would you even ask? the hunger games is on a whole different chart!!! twilight is tooooo cheesy and you know what is going to happen!!! Bella is to needy to! katness can take care of herself when she has no broken bones! why would you even ask!?!? I still cant figure it out!!

message 614: by Kelsey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kelsey Sparks Hunger Games ALL THE WAY!

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles this is a little off topic but, has anyone else noticed how almost every enjoyable book has been compared to twilight? it is getting annoying?

message 616: by Lena (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lena yeah

message 617: by Jo (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jo Don't compare. They're very, very different. One's paranormal fantasy, this is dystopian. STOP COMPARING.

message 618: by Kat (new) - added it

Kat I agree with Jo. It's two different genres, it's like trying to compare a sandwich to a cat. Unless you eat cats, then it's sorta hard. Twilight is a ridiculous paranormal fantasy, Hunger Games is a brilliant sci-fi.

message 619: by Heidi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Heidi davis HUNGER GAMES

Ashley Ray TWILIGHT! but the hunger games is amazing too!!!

Totally different.

message 623: by Aline (new) - rated it 3 stars

Aline Well, gotta admit, I never read any of the Twilight series. I mean, believe it or not but I never find vampire stories or vampire heroes irresistible LOL!! But Hunger Games? I only read 2 books so far and I'm totally hooked!!

Sheila The Hunger Games. Fantastic reads, good movie. What more can I say?

Anna are you joking Hunger Games for sure. Never read Twilight Never want to. The movies are awful and I dislike the whole concept. Hunger Games all the way.

Yazi HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY!

message 635: by Gabby (new)

Gabby In The Hunger Games, the main character fights for survival in an awesome store with a gripping plot line. In Twilight the main character is in desperate search for a boy friend with no plot at all...HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY!!!!!

message 636: by Nicole (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nicole Twilight is to sparkly for me. Hunger games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Kayla Hunger Games!!
Because Twilight made one fatal error...
It doesn't have Finnick.

Kathleen Marasco Hunger Games for sure.

Read both series and I liked Twilight, but Hunger games was far superior!

Denise G. Fitzherbert Hunger Games FTW. But Twilight is also a great book. IM REFERRING TO THE BOOK OKAY? NOT THE MOVIE. btw the movie was awesome

Qing yi THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who ever say twilight just doesnt understand the plot of the book it's amazing and so is the movie

Jocelyn Gunter Hunger Games...not interested in Twilight, whatsoever! Not into vampires...

message 642: by Zoe (new) - rated it 5 stars

Zoe HUNGER GAMES ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

message 643: by Becca (new) - rated it 4 stars

Becca Well all...Let's look at the facts....
1) Twilight (once boiled down to it's actual plot) is just about a girl falling in love with her stalker. While Hunger Games is about the struggles of a young girl and her life in the Districts.
2) Twilight reads like Stephine Meyer opened up a thesaurus and started picking words at random, while Hunger Games (though not the most challenging read)was easy to read.
3) Twilight's main character (Bella Sawn) shuts down after Edward leaves her, while the Hunger Games' main character (Katniss Everdeen) had to take care of her family after her father died and her mother shut down.

Those are just three reasons why the Hunger Games is better than Twilight. :) Have a good day.

message 644: by Becca (new) - rated it 4 stars

Becca Tamara wrote: "Michelle wrote: "I really don't understand why people keep comparing every new YA book that comes out with Twilight. The Hunger Games is a dystopian book and there is not even a single supernatural..."

It's because though they don't have similar plots, they both are similar in other ways. For example both becoming movies and being on New York's Best Seller's List.

message 645: by Bruna (last edited Mar 30, 2012 04:24AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bruna H U N G E R G A M E S - the book, the movie, the characters, the plot! EVERYTHING IS WAY BETTER THAN TWILIGHT! Still I don't know why people compare this two fantoms so much THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT!

message 646: by Prerna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Prerna there is no use choosing between Twilight and Hunger games. They r both different as sky and land. Different genres. And different plots.
Though Hunger Games is what will be my likely choice.

message 647: by Prerna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Prerna Tamara wrote: "Michelle wrote: "I really don't understand why people keep comparing every new YA book that comes out with Twilight. The Hunger Games is a dystopian book and there is not even a single supernatural..."

i absolutely agree with u! both r different and its kind of weird to compare twilight to every book that comes under YA

message 648: by Katie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Katie This is a terrible question! Hunger Games 500% Twilight is terrible.

Annabel Parado no wayyyy!!! are kidding me??? Twilight is nothing to compare to Hunger Games...Hunger Games definitely!

message 650: by Tamara (last edited Mar 30, 2012 05:50AM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Tamara You actually learn something and criticize the world we live in by reading Hunger Games. Its about politics. It covers real life issues such as poverty and more. Its about survival, what you do to survive, how you find yourselves in situations you didnt want but you still try standing up for whats right and doing what is best for the people you care about. However, twilight teaches you nothing because well the characters are not real; your family&your friends doesnt matters as long as you get to be with your boyfriend.Katniss is not a perfect person, she uses the affection of Peeta etc but she is an independent and strong girl; she is the type of character a young girl can look up.Bella is weak and lets one thing control her entire life;her love for Edward.Everyone protects Bella while Katniss protects herself. In Hunger Games everyone has their own problems while Twilight describes some of the characters as practically flawless and perfect. So, it's unfair to compare them because while Twilight is just a stupid girl fantasy and everything about Hunger Games feels real.
