Hunger Games. Definitely no contest whatsoever. The Hunger Games series may be a 3rd of the Twilight series but it has a way better plot. And bigger characters.

message 552: by [deleted user] (new)

message 565: by Sydney (new) - rated it 3 stars

Sydney Bollinger The Hunger Games. Most definitely. It has a story that wants to keep you reading and Twilight is just romance and it drags on for way too long.

naggyyna definitely THE HUNGER GAMES..but hunger games n twilight r different genres..so theres no point comparing em.:)

message 567: by Maude (new)

Maude Hunger Games, no contest. While I never read Twilight, my sister told me everything about it and it just seems so shallow while the Hunger have substance. Love Peeta!

Jessica Sharon wrote: "Hunger Games. This story will stick with me for a long time. It was emotionally exhausting. I wouldn't change a thing about it, but the ending was sad and kind of depressing. Kat had the best possi..."

Emotionally exhausting is correct! It took me awhile to shake the story off when I was done reading it

Jennigma Michelle wrote: "I really don't understand why people keep comparing every new YA book that comes out with Twilight. The Hunger Games is a dystopian book and there is not even a single supernatural being in it. Not..."

I agree completely.

message 573: by Ashton (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ashton Stupid question. Try again.

Hunger games and twilight should never be used in the same sentence... its an insult to the Hunger Games.
To prove my point, here is a list of reasons to hate twilight.

love.

Xperfumex u can even compare the two. twilight is way out of the hunger games league!

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) Yes....Twilight is just compared cause its so popular..Its no better than all of the other vampire novels...

message 578: by [deleted user] (new)

Hunger Games by far.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) I will never forget THGT...I forgot Twilight..

message 583: by Ebby (last edited Oct 12, 2011 03:37PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ebby Ok, so There is no comparability to "The Twilight saga" And "The Hunger Games Trilogy"! "Twilight" showed very poor witting skills in effort to get the books out fast enough, and showcased a selfish weak young woman who used people to get what she wanted "eternal life" and "beauty". Were "The Hunger Games" Was well Written from the start ! had a not so courageous young woman but would do anything to protect the people she loved, even tho she failed to do so in the end, but gave the world a new chance at living free, But has to live with the ugly scars of war not only mental but physical. The only similarities are the love triangle's and the depression's. But by far "The Hunger Games" actually gave a point to the reader in which "Twilight" could never do. I am not going to lie I did like the Twilight book's but they did not give me a love for the character's like "The Hunger Games" did. So hand's down I will choose "The Hunger Games" book's over "Twilight" any day.

Natalie Raffelock Hunger Games was awesome Catching Fire was Ok... Mocking Jay was Horribly slow nothing really happened

message 585: by Riah (new) - added it

Riah Hunger Games!!

message 586: by Kerri (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kerri Hunger Games is waaaay better than Twilight. I liked Twilight up through Eclipse, Breaking Dawn just ruined the whole series for me. Hunger Games' romance wasn't a sick stalkery obsession like Twilight's. It was a natural build with tension and obstacles. You can say that Twilight has it, but it seemed forced.

message 587: by Kathleen (last edited Oct 12, 2011 07:24PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kathleen Harsch Hunger Games and Mockingjay was excellent - she had to deal with all of her grief from the first two books, so parts of it are more internal, but the last half of the book was action-packed.

message 588: by Shay (new) - rated it 5 stars

Shay ...really?

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) Diana wrote: "I used to love Twilight... then I read Hunger Games."
Same!

message 590: by Lynne (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lynne I agree with Sara (above)....Hunger Games all the way! The writing is far superior. I couldn't get past page 20 of Twilight...Sorry Twilight fans.

message 591: by [Coco] (new) - rated it 5 stars

[Coco] Don't get me wrong, I love The Hunger Games. Total 5 stars. But... I also like Twilight. Used to not like it, yes, but that's because the plot was way too typical. Now that I've gotten over that, the book seems amazing. Never will be as good as THG though.(well, you never know)

And one more thing- why do people hate Twilight so much? Just wondering....

message 592: by Claire (new) - rated it 4 stars
