Melissa Christopher Moore is one of my favorite authors. He is a great storyteller. He has such a wicked sense of humor and he creates not only characters, but whole towns filled with them. This book is about Travis who happens to have a demon he's responsible for. This demon's favorite thing to eat is people. So, when they roll into Pine Cove, CA, the demon can think of nothing, but eating and Travis can think of nothing, but ditching the demon. Of course, all hell breaks loose. Written from several points of view with lots of great dialogue and constant surpises. I'm never disappointed by a Christopher Moore book.

The Flooze (the_flooze) I agree wholeheartedly! Christopher Moore is one of those authors who can make me laugh out loud. Practical Demonkeeping was another fun read, and I love how his heroes are always of an unlikely sort. My favorites by him are Dirty Job and Lamb. I laughed out, long and loud, while reading those books and earned myself some very odd looks on the subway.
