I am a student of economics and politics who writes in the hope that more people might become involved in their futures.
My book, The Road to the Third World is a novel about the political, economic and social consequences of the excesses of capitalism. Before one jumps to invalid conclusions, let me state that I love my country and truly appreciate many of the advantages of capitalism. I simply believe that unchecked capitalism has resulted in the precarious economy that we are today.
There is a need to modify capitalism to meet the needs of the American people rather than continuing to cater to the relatively few affluemt.
A significant part of the remendy is for America to become self sufficient. Foreigners have our dollars because we choose to have foreign goods and services in lieu of American made goods and services. If and when we acknowledge the basic precepts of an economy and begin to provide for our needs, perhaps we may begine the process of healing our country!
