how can one not look! you have more will power than I Tiff! yup i read it and im sure ill understand once i get into the book!

If you haven't finished the book then you might now what to ready beyond the first paragraph!!!!!I finished today! (tubbing and reading...ahhhhhh) I enjoyed the book, it's well written and consistent, I'm kind of anal about that for some reason... I hate to read a book where something just doesn't 'fit' or even make reasonable sense....lol.
I too liked Alex a lot but I think Melina needs the 'human' element to keep her grounded so I think Ted is good for her and he seems to be an 'asset' to her lifestyle in many ways. Norah I'm undecided about but I'm sure she'll get the hang of things.....or fade away...lol.
There are lots of elements in the story that offer the opportunity of development...like her grandmother and her aunt...you can see where those folks could be developed in interesting ways...and of course, Sophie and Ben. To say nothing of the relationship issues with Ted, Alex and Paul....all YUMMY specimens promising LOTS of good fun.
I also really appreciated the fact that Rendahl brought some REAL history into the story. I always appreciate getting educated in an "entertaining" way!
I'm looking forward to the next installment. Hopefully she already has it written!

Melina learns from the handsome ER doctor (and vampire) who gave her the envelope that it contained talismans created by the priests to control Chinese vampires, who are attacking gang members to spark a street war.
Although he may look more like a surfer than a cop, Ted Goodnight is dead serious about investigating the surge in gang violence. At every turn he runs into Melina, a very attractive-and very mysterious-young woman. Can Melina enlist his help to battle something he doesn't even believe in without blowing her cover?
