I was trying out for a solo in my Chorus class at school. It was for a really important concert. At the tryout, I forgot the words to the song, and unsuccessfully tried to cover it up with humming and fake words. Didn't work so well to say the least.

lol! I sometimes fear that that's what I'd do if I were to try and sing, and that's basically what fuels my stagefright. And the fact that it is very possible to miss many notes or crack on high ones XD
