Welcome, Numidica.
Hi everyone,
I've been interested in WWII history since I was 8. It was the 60's and there were some great TV shows that got me started (Combat, etc.). I'm interested in nearly everything about WWII, but especially D-Day and submarine warfare. A high point for me was visting the beaches in Normandy, the American and German cemeteries, as well as many museums scattered throughout the region.
It's nice to be here and I know I'll find some good company and interesting conversation.

I'm always open to recommendations. In fact, I'm hunting around for my next WW2 read.

Welcome Paul, nice to have you join the group. As soon as you hint at an area of interest, we'll be able to find "something". But I will recommend something in the blind:

Epicenter Press published a book I co-wrote with my wife last fall. I won't flack it here, but if you're curious look at my author profile.
You people are cool.

Garfield's book is an oldie but goodie.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!

Karan here from India. I am an avid reader of WW II fiction as well as memoirs, articles, papers and anything related. My favourite book in the history category is The Second World War by Anthony Beevor. I have visited few sites as well such as Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp in Berlin..the first camp. I always look for discussion on the topic.
Thanks

Welcome Karan. I thought Inferno: The World at War, 1939-1945 was at least as good as Beevor's The Second World War. Hope you enjoy it!
