THE WORLD WAR TWO GROUP discussion
Introduction to the WW2 Site - Please Say Hi

My name is Jessica - I joined this group awhile ago and am just now getting around to posting an introduction. I'm really shy, but I love WW2. Anything fiction or non-fiction, if the subject is WW2 I'm in. I especially love anything to do with air combat (and love stories, but that's a whole other topic). Glad to be here!

Welcome Jessica, feel free to join in and ask questions or suggest books too.

I joined the group recently and wanted to introduce myself. I read one or two WWII books a month. My current book is Dictators by Professor Richard Overy of Exeter College. I saw him on a Military History series about the Nuremburg trials, and looked him up.
I'm more well-versed in the European Theater, but last year read a number of Pacific Theater books, including Fly Boys.
I look forward to joining in on discussions, and reading your insights.
Now, I'm off to watch the Chiefs play!
Ronn

Welcome to the group! I hope you enjoy our book recommendations and reviews.

Welcome Ronn, jump into the discussions anytime. BTW, sorry about the Chiefs. I was hoping for a rematch between your Chiefs and my Packers, but not going to be this year. :(

Welcome!
For a combination of non-fiction, aircraft and a love story, I'd highly recommend Nevil Shute's "Landfall" (1940)https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Sorry it took so long to introduce myself... I'm Harmony :) I have a BA in History-PoliSci and I concentrated mostly on military history in undergrad. I'm currently a graduate student so if I don't check in regularly it's due to my busy schedule.
But I'm so glad to be a part of this group!

Harmony: Welcome and please don't be reluctant to chime in.

My name's Emily Ann Putzke and I'm a writer, French Resistance reenactor, and history nerd. I'm especially interested in resistance during WWII which inspired me to write a novel based on the true story of Hans and Sophie Scholl —(Resist)
Looking forward to being a part of this group!

I strongly endorse the recommendation for Neville Shute's 'Landfall' above, by the way. I think it's one of his best novels.

Welcome, Charles. Please pitch right in. Don't be shy.

Welcome, Welcome
I really do look forward to your insights and view points! Please feel free to add to our store of knowledge!

Welcome Charles, very nice to have you here. Your focus on the Asian theater is a great addition to our group.
