Hello everyone! My name is Donnie . I love in Iowa and have a grandfather who fought the Germans in WW2 . He received the purple heart from getting hit by shrapnel while pulling his Capt. to safety. That is what drew me into military history and ect... Look forward to talking ot you all in the discussions.

I just found and joined this group. Can't believe I had not found it earlier as military history and especially WWI and WWII are my passions. I'm the son of a Korean War vet and my mom is a Pearl Harbor survivor having been an nurse's aid at the hospital and still doing very well at age 94! Looking forward to becoming a fan.Pittsburgh Glenn

Hi Wade, the book on the Stuka was pretty good, it only covers the period of their operations during the Battle of Britain but it was well researched and had quite a few first-hand accounts from Stuka crews and their opponents.
Due to all kinds of life's obstacles, I haven't been much on Goodreads lately.Yet I would like to say "hi" to all newcomers.

Oh LIlo it is good to see you back. Your tales of Surviving Nazi Germany always touch me. I also appreciate the factthat you were the first goodreads person to buy my book, "From Shaniko to Pearl Harbor." I just got a check from Amazon for people buying my book from them. If any of the buyers were goodreads people, I want to say thank you. I did find a bookstore here in Portland that bought dome from me just yesterday. Every sale is a joy!
HI everyone. I am Mike Schau, a college librarian in Oviedo Florida. WW II and American / World history are my areas too, so I like to see what you all recommend. I also get ideas from Armchair General and World War II magazine. Feel free to 'friend".

Hello, everyone. I am a keen reader of historical fiction and of non-fiction (and a writer, too). I'm planning a novel set in WW2 Corsica and Vichy France, so will be particularly interested in recommendations along those lines. But I have a general interest in WW2, particularly in Europe.
