Hi Jill, great to see you here. Now I think about your post I'm kind of surprised you haven't joined us earlier. I know you'll be right at home here :)

Hi Jill,
I'm a bit of a newbie myself, so haven't felt right being part of the welcome committee, but you're definitely not the only female - plenty of others in the discussions. :)

.. and AR does have his sensitive side.

Why that, that's just...unsporting!
But probably very wise... ;)

No way! I am very much woman, and I am very much in this group. And there are other women.

There's me too :)
Although I'm not on here as much as my other groups solely because I participate in their challenges.

Don't hate me! But I did read the twilight books only because I was on vacation and they were the only ones available :( but this is one young(ish) girl you won't see reading bodice rippers! I get chastised ALL the time too for reading about WWI & WWII. Or, as one gentleman said "you're too pretty to fill your head with such ugliness" I wasnt completely unhappy with the compliment though.

Lol! Don't worry, I'm never far. Always peeking in and adding to the tbr :)

Oh good :) We can be friends now lol

One of my students went for a scholarship interview and when asked whether she reads and what she reads, she said "Twilight". I asked her if she managed to put a literary spin to it which she did not, because she's an engineering student.

Also I have noticed over the last few years more and more "war" books written by women. Laura Hillenbrand comes to mind. The only "older era" female "war" author from the 1960's I can think of is Hannah Arendt. Are there more?

It is a great group of real WWII buffs.....nice to find it.
Mikey B......"Twilight" is a series of books about vampires which has been amazingly popular. I was just teasing Allie about reading them.
