Welcome to the group Veeral. Your motto sounds just like mine regarding books and WWII, especially non-fiction. I have
on my wishlist and pushed it up closer to the top based on your comment. Hope you enjoy your time here and look forward to your thoughts and input.

Welcome Veeral, you'll fit right in here. I just added We Die Alone to my TBR and get ready, because you'll find your TBR shelf growing soon.
P.S. My son just returned from India and loved his visit. He went to his college buddy's wedding and then traveled around.

Welcome Veeral glad you found us. I'm sure you will find more books to add to your TBR here. I have an interest in the British Indian Army in WWII owning a number of the official histories.
My grandfather also served in 4th British Indian Div during the North African campaign.
Hello everyone. I just joined the group today. My interests for the most part on the WW2 era, are the books about the basic soldier (sailor, airmen) on the ground.

Veeral, Colin will be too modest to mention this here but his book receives good reviews on Amazon, on GR and for example here too http://www.starnewsonline.com/article...
Thank you everyone. This is one of the warmest welcomes I have ever received from any groups here on Goodreads! I hope to contribute and discuss a lot in the future. Thanks again.

Hi Tai and welcome. Please feel free to join in the discussions. I'm aware the Brazilian Expeditionary Force fought with the allies in Italy, and the navy (and Brazilian merchant ships) operated alongside the USN, Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy in the Caribbean and Battle of the Atlantic, so will be happy for any recommendations on this aspect.

Hi Eggletina, Welcome to the group and please join in the discussion on Masters of the Air if you get the chance, love to hear from you. Sledge's book is one of my favourite accounts covering the Pacific theatre along with Manchester's; Goodbye Darkness.
by William Raymond Manchester
Welcome to the group Eggletina. With the Old Breed is one of the best accounts of fighting in the Pacific. I also enjoyed
and would recommend it.
