Hi from chucklesthescot,new to this group and goodreads though have been a member of bookcrossing since Feb 2009. I am a total book addict and I will enjoy having you all chant my name and cheer me on each time I raid the charity shops!I'm in there at least once a week and always come out with an armful recommended by friends or that I've seen on threads! I swear my books breed overnight and I'm falling over piles of the things...shame!
I'm 36,from Scotland,not working and interests include postcard collecting,sport,making news scrapbooks,spending hours on booksites,writing to my penpals,films,music and my Wii.Definitely an indoors winter recluse type of person!Favourite reads include horror/UF,Asian/Middle East f/nf,war and history f/nf especially WW2 American Civil War and The Tudors,but I'm branching out into all kinds of general fiction and widening my booky horizons...
I look forward to chatting with you guys on the threads and getting some good books recommended!

I am Kathy and am a complete addict as well! But of all things to be addicted to, I'm by no means looking for recovery! I'm 40 and a single mom of 2 great boys (young men. lol) I'm a manager at a local independent bookstore on Long Island. (How's that for enabling, huh? lol)

Well technically i just joined this reading discussion. I particually enjoy the randomness of the conversations that go on in our messages. I READ constantly i have read so many books it has amazed me. I am actually upset at myself because before 7th grade (aka last year) i didnt like to read i absolutly LOATHED it. Then i read Twilight, and thats when i became a Book worm. i read anything that has a little bit of a love intrest in the book. But i am happy that there are others out there that hold the same obsession, BOOKS sweet words that allow us to step into others worlds. Have a great time reading everyone!

Kathy,how can you cope working with books all day! Shudder! I wouldn't be able to control myself especially if there was a staff discount...whimper!

I did give myself an Easter treat of 6 brand new books at Waterstones from the Dark Fantasy section. Naughty!(and 2 big Easter Eggs to add to the fun!)
