I checked it out from the library a couple of weeks ago and is next up for me. Looking forward to the read.
I did finish reading it a few weeks ago.
Just picked up a copy from the library the other day, along with a bunch of other books. Will be reading in the near future, though it's not quite next on my list at the moment.
I read it and thought it was one of the best fantasies last year. The Desert Spear, the sequel, will be out mid April.
I read this one about six or seven months ago and am looking forward to both the discussion about this book and the forthcoming sequel.
The Warded Man was one of my favorite reads last year and I plan to reread it again in preparation for the upcoming discussion. I've also had the opportunity to read the sequel, The Desert Spear, and it was really amazing. I hope you all enjoy The Warded Man as much as I did and I'm looking forward to getting to discuss it with you all.
Finished The Warded Man (my review) today. I couldn't put it down. Moving on to our other reading selection for this month: Gardens of the Moon
I'm probably going to regret starting yet another epic fantasy seemingly unending series ... or not. :)
really good nove. orginal plot cocnerning demons and what it would be like to live in constant fear of night time. cant wait for the sequel-seems a long time coming tho.

At least most of the books in that series are already out. The worst is reading a great book only to discover that it's the first in a series which will take about a decade to complete. I'm also just starting on Gardens of The Moon (though it's the third time I'm starting it...)
I got it on my Kindle but I haven't had a chance to start it yet. I'm 3/4 of the way through Gardens of the Moon and once I'm done with that I'll dive in.
Finished it today, and am apparently among the few who really didn't care for it. I'm surprised by all the gushing, actually, since I thought the writing was really amateurish compared to, say, a Joe Abercrombie or Brent Weeks or Patrick Rothfuss.
I finished The Warded Man a few days ago...AMAZING! I ordered the sequel right away (yes I paid the hard cover price) and can't wait to get started on it. So happy we chose this book to read, otherwise I doubt I would have picked it up.
Read The Warded Man last year and loved it. Did a reread last week in anticipation of reading The Desert Spear, which I finished yesterday.
Got an ARC a while back, read it in one go, thought it was a promising, original story. *scrunches up forehead* If only I could remember specific details... guess a re-read is in order, woooot...
Just finished reading The Warded Man and The Desert Spear back to back. Amazing visualized world of hope and despair. Loved them!
Read The Warded Man last year, and just finished The Desert Spear. Great concept, good prose style that lent itself to page-turning (these are books that you gobble).Hated the ending of The Desert Spear, though. It just stopped. Is this a new style of book ending, because Rothfuss did the same thing with The Name of the Wind? If it is, it should be eradicated, because it is like a bad aftertaste, and really detracts from what are otherwise good books. In contrast, The Warded Man had a perfectly styled ending, particularly with the epilogue.
I just finished re-reading it for the second time just before I got my copy of TDS. I got more out of it the second read through, awesome book. My favorite book so far... can't wait to read more of this series.
I put this one aside halfway through. Although the writing is good and the action is impressive, the characters were not well developed enough for me to be interested in finding out what happened. And I found the demons to be a little comical.
Just finished reading it on audio--picked it up at the Library in a new lot, looked good, although there's very little blurb on the back of the audio book. It was so good that I would voluntarily do housework in order to listen to it--cleaned an entire room in the basement where stuff had been shoved and forgotten for years. Thanks, Peter, keep writing!
Good book, read it a while back. A little concerned about what I've read about the sequel. Read it opens more questions without tying much up...I hate cliff hangers. May wait till there are 2 more out before I read more. This was an excellent book however.
