Anyway, just hit the part where Andrea is explaining to Kate who knows what (after Curran saved Kate). Andrea said that she told them what the Scarlett Star was (sword created from Roland's blood). Andrea figured out that Kate has his blood, and Kate confirmed she's his daughter. When Andrea asked Kate if Curran knew, she says no.
I agree that Curran's a smart cookie and probably suspects something. He has his own secrets too. It will be interesting learning them as the series progresses. :)
You're right, Shannon, there's plenty of material for coming books even after they get together, and I loved those moments too, when she sends him milk and the hole puncher scene. I mean, these books are hilarious. Love the humor and commentary.
Curran has a lot of secrets I am so looking forward to the next book so we can find out what he is.I totally agree that he knows more about her than he lets on.

You know the part at the end of Magic Burns when Curran say I see you own words of power, so he know what they are and more impressive they do not work on him. Then in Magic Bites Curran gets burn but Kate does not and he asked her why didn't you burn.
Anyway the point here is Curran is smart and nothing gets by him so while I am not convinced that he knows that she is Rolands daughter I think he knows she is more than she seems.
OK. So I just finished "Magic Strikes" and I don't remember Curran standing up Kate, for the "naked" dinner date. Have some of you guys already read, Magic Bleeds?

Thanks, I listened to the audio version. I like having books on my ipod, so that I get things done. But, truthfully, reading the book, is always, just alittle bit better.

Man, I just finished reading the first two chapters of magic. Wow! It is going to be one heck of a good book. I feel bad about Curran standing up Kate. But, really do we want them to jump in to bed. I mean, this is book book 4 in a series of 7.
There has to be a lot more, lonely longing. Thus making it that much better, when we do get a taste of Kate's HEA.
I have a feeling that we should at least get one wicked sexy, hot love scene.

Only three weeks until Magic Bleeds comes out!!!! I'm hoping he has a good reason for the dinner fiasco and they do end up getting together!

I wasn't planning on re-reading the series until I ran across book 2 in audio so I grabbed it, then requested the audio's of 1 & 3 from the library. I am hoping to start them next week.

I was just thinking(I know that's dangerous) that maybe Curran stands Kate up for dinner because he figures out who's daughter she is.....when you read one of the reviews at B&N there is mention that Curran is avoiding her and reluctantly helps her with her new case.
I think he stands her up as he is trying to either protect her or protect the Pack from her. I am hoping it is the former. ILike you said Crystal think he has kind of guessed who she is already. 3 weeks! It seems such a long time!

Crystal and Suzanne I don't know if he knows who her father is. I still think their dinner was sabotaged by a pack member or someone who does not think she belongs in the pack. At least that is what I hope because that is more like an us against them as opposed to an I am not so sure I want to deal with you...does that make sense?

I am hoping the same Dawn, and her and Curran better get together, I will be heartbroken if they don't! I do think he suspects something though, how could he not after what he has seen?
Suzanne I agree especially since he watches her so close but in Magic Bites?? He mentions that Roland would never have children so I am thinking he would not suspect that he lied. What does this mean?? Why is Curran so annoyed with Kate, and thinks that she spurned him? Dawn maybe you were right, I think you were the one that said he went to the wrong house. So maybe he does think that Kate stood him up, and she thinks he stood her up.
He's obviously not hurt in this snippet, so there goes my theory of why he stood her up. Unless of course this is at the middle/end of the book lol.

It actually looks like Barnes and Noble might be shipping Magic Bleeds now....when I did a search there is a version of the book that comes up as "add to cart" and the rest have pre-order.....I placed the order and should know by tomorrow if it will be shipping...
