Merle (merlinnair) | 1 comments Hey there, my name is Merle, I live in the US, and my favorite genres are romance, fantasy, mystery, and sci-fi.

I prefer historical romance mostly, and perhaps some fantasy romance. I don't really have one favorite author, and I'm rather new to the romance genre anyway, so I just tend to read what other people tell me.

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) Hi Merle & welcome to the group! Historical romance is my favourite genre as well but I'm also addicted to J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

BookAddict ✒ La Crimson Femme (lacrimsonfemme) I guess I should finally introduce myself here. I know Carole through TRR website which Sinful sent me to back in April. Carole is my number one drug pusher to my choice of drugs. Sometimes, I OD on the number of books I request to review for her. Poor woman probably doesn't know what to do with me. ^_^

I am one of her little reviewers on her website and I tend to be the one with the lower rankings since I'm a hard grader.

I started out with romance when I was 14. By the time I hit my 20s I was a closet smut reader. By the time I hit my 30s, I came out of the closet and I also read hardcore taboo books.

I am a bibliophile who specializes in the UF, SF, PNR, BDSM and LGBTQ books. I don't normally pick contemporary romance or historical anymore because it doesn't do it for me. Besides, who would do the reviews for the other books for Carole? *snort*

I tend to devour books. It's an addiction I've never been able to kick. Torture is when my Kindle is taken away from me and I'm forbidden to read books for more than 3 days. I go through withdrawal symptoms.

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) Welcome to the group, Bookaddict! I'm also a reviewer although on TRR I go by the name CarolAnn. I don't mind that you don't pick historical romances because that happens to be my favourite genre!

^_^ It works out well, doesn't it? And I eagerly await when an email comes out with new books. WOOHOO.

Jules | 2 comments My name is Jules and I've been obsessed with romance novels for about the last year. I haven't found a favorite sub-genre -- I rather like them all! I especially love when an abused heroine gets her HEA after swearing off all men.

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) Welcome to the group, Jules!

Acacia Green (acaciagreen) | 2 comments Hi My name is Acacia. I love a good romance. Also don't mind reading Erotica. I also write romance books.

At the moment, I'm into stories where the guys are either in the military or ex military or cowboys.

Happy for any recommendations anyone can make.

Hi, Acacia! Welcome. I just started Lori Foster's Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series, and it's pretty good.

I'm sure you can get some other recommendations here as well. When I have more time, I can offer some more as well.

Also, feel free to share information about your books in "The Author's Corner".

Welcome, again!

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) Welcome to the group, Acacia!

message 67: by Tonileg (new)

Tonileg Hi! I'm Toni. I grew up on Oahu, but I've traveled a lot since then. I live in France and Honolulu, I read a lot when I travel and about a book every 1-2 days otherwise. My favorites is Historical Western and Regency English romance with some M/M romance mixed in the mix. I love it when relationships have to be restrained because of social mores and norms which makes for an interesting build-up for a hot delicious read. I like to mix it up with kindle or paperback books, with no particular preference.
I'm glad to join the group!

Adele Symonds (adelesymonds) | 1 comments Hi everyone, I have just been accepted as a reviewer on TRR and hopped over to see what the noise is on the GR group.

I am a single mum of 3 lively boys, I am virtually disabled due to my own disablity so I have plenty of time to read when the kids are at school.

I read, review and blog all the time. I have over 60 reviews on my blog now.

I will read virtually any genre, but I do feel that no matter what the genre it will always be enhanced by a romance element. I am not into BDSM or erotica but there are plenty of people who are.

I hope to see you all on here often and if anybody would like to add me as friend, then shoot.

Debbie McClure | 3 comments Hi everyone. I've been a semi-regular here at Goodreads for a while, having posted a few reviews of books I'm currently reading. My first love has always been romance reading, with paranormal romance taking hold a couple of years ago. I'm a fan of J.R. Ward and the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Gena Showalter, and others in that genre, however, I'll read contemporary romance and women's fiction just as avidly.

I'm also thrilled to announce the released of my own first novel November 28th, a paranormal romance, through Echelon Press. For those who are interested, it is a love story about the handsome ghost of an English estate and the woman he believes has returned to him. There's only one problem; the woman in question, Claire Jacobs, doesn't believe in ghosts, and has no recollection of him or a love he claims they shared-one hundred and fifty years in the past!

It's available through Amazon (Kindle)http://tinyurl.com/dam-itsol-Kindle
B&N (Nook):http://tinyurl.com/dam-itsol-Nook
Smashwords: http://tinyurl.com/dam-itsol-Smash
OmniLit: http://tinyurl.com/dam-itsol-Omni
and of course my own author's website: http://www.damcclure.com/.

I do also have a regular (usually weekly) blog about writing, life and anything else I can think of that I think others might be interested in @ http://the-write-stuff.me/

I look forward to getting to know you all a little better and sharing my love of the romance genre. In The Spirit Of love

Amanda Shalaby (amandalvshalaby) | 3 comments Hi everyone, I'm glad to be here! I'm a fan of all the classics, but especially Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte. I love (and write) English historicals, but have been reading a lot of American historicals recently. Looking forward to getting to know you all :-)

message 74: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) Hi, everyone. I saw this group title and thought Yay! Romance!

I'm Abby and I'm mostly a contemporary romance girl, but also read other sub-genres except for the two poles, inspy and erotica. Not judging, just not for me.

I live in Florida and will occasionally boast about my sunny blue skies while the rest of the country is shivering under a foot of snow.

So happy to meet you all!

Jamie Boothe | 2 comments Hey there, I am trying to join some great groups within the genre that I write in hoping to make new friends and connect. I am a newly self-published author so I am sure it would be helpful being here. :-)

message 80: by Mary (new)

Mary Hi I'm Mary. I'm just getting back into reading after feeling like I had time to do so after kids, working full time etc etc. I literally just got back into reading and I love a good love story always....they are my first choice in reading. I do read other stuff though by recommendations from friends if they sound good to me. Feel free to add me as a friend as I am always scouring looking for the next good read.

Alisha Guenzel | 5 comments Hi, my name is AJ, I'm kind of new at this. I will read about anything. All though my favorite is romance. I also write romance/first love stories. If anyone has any pointers for me, I would love to hear them.

message 83: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) Hi, all!

I'm Abby and I'm just getting back into the swing of Goodreads - I was playing around WAY too much and had to take a break!

I read romance romance romance and write passionate and playful contemporaries. My first book (Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy?) was released in May by Grand Central and the next one will be released in April.

I look forward to catching up!

message 84: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) Hi, I'm Marie and I like to read a little bit of everything!
My favorite romance authors are J. R. Ward, Kresley Cole, and Charlaine Harris. Yes, I lean towards paranormal romances but honestly, I like anything with a great story and complicated, tragic characters.
