Isaac | 8014 comments Dern it, this is happening to me with every story I write....

message 53: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments I just go back from the beginning and re-write the whole thing, if I think the core plot is a good idea and it's just the writing that's letting it down.

Same here....

Isaac | 8014 comments And everyone says my stories are so good, when I think not.
Shoot, I posted a story I started writing last night... who knows how bad it is?

message 56: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Either that or they're blind to bad writing.

message 57: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Because they're blind and want to be nice.

message 58: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments I don't mind it, as long as it isn't all like "RAWR!!! I HATE YOU AND WANT TO THROW YOU OFF A CLIFF!!! YOU'RE THE REASON THE WORLD IS A MESS!!!" type of criticizing.

message 59: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Yes it would be.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha, Talia, you're just downright awesome.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

Indeed. (:

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry, I couldn't help it.

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

Are you just that bored?

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, basically.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

Nope. Me neither.

I like randomness too. I'm playing a random game called post something in every single thread. It's fun!

message 75: by Laika (new)

Laika ugh that happens to me all the time. Once, I had been writing one for two years and I got to almost 200 pages, and I read one of my favourite books, and I found out that it was almost identical to my story! So, I know this is hard, but move on. Forget about the story you're writing, and write a new one. And I guarantee you, it will be LOTS better then you're previous one, and you'll get to learn from your mistakes and improve on them. Good luck!

Isaac | 8014 comments You get a shovel and dig yourself out of the hole.

message 79: by Jo (new)

Jo (Penname8) | 1574 comments haha. (not laughing)

message 80: by Jane (new)

Jane (j10797) | 1854 comments Leave it for six months, then go back and reread it again. Maybe you'll find it's not so terrible after all. Then, also, you are sane enough to edit it and make it an okay story. Or possibly even good.

message 81: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) I have a new what do you do, because I have issues with this part of my story, like how to continue it. What do you do when you sit next to your friend, who you've had a crush on for over a year, and you are too shy to say anything to him without blushing?

message 82: by Jo (new)

Jo (Penname8) | 1574 comments what if my narrator's not the protagonist, but i make the narrator seem the protagonist?

message 83: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) that sounds cool. Kinda like how watson says stuff about sherlock holmes all the time. As long as you make it not confusing and not boring, I'd definitely read it. :)

message 84: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Yep. :P Sorry, my writing doesn't always make the most sense to the people outside my head.

I feel the same about some of my feelings about things.

That sounds really creative and unique.
