Irfken I'm loving reading the responses on this thread. So to answer your questions:

1. I had to wrack my brain on this one but ultimately I came upon a rather repugnant relative of mine.
2. I love swimming, I go every evening to our local pool. It's great exercise and good for my asthma.
3. I didn't have any inkling so I took an online quiz and got the Owl. I think that's inaccurate though, it's too majestic for the likes of me. If I had to pick someone, definitely Linda Belcher or Mindy Kaling as their personalities mirror my own.

My questions for the next person:

1. If you could trade places for a day with a celebrity, who would it be and why?
2. Do you love your job? If not, what's your dream job and why?
3. What's your favorite movie to watch on days you're feeling down?

message 2560: by Diane (new)

Diane Johnson | 123 comments This is cool and I'm glad I stumbled upon it!

1. I discovered Stephen Graham Jones after reading The Only Good Indians, and I haven't been disappointed since. Having a drink and discussing the wealth of horror trivia that I bet he knows would be so cool.

3. I'm an author, so hopefully I'm writing. Also, trying to catch up on so much TV...

For the next person:

1--What book, movie or TV show got you started on horror?
2--That one character you dressed up as on Halloween?
3--Have you ever heeded the advice of a Magic 8 ball?

message 2561: by Darlene (new)

2. Fry Guy (McDonald’s lol)
3. Try Again🤣

1. Have you as a child either had a dream/nightmare or scary situation that you later on in life related to from a scene in a movie?
2. A book that you’ve read that hasn’t been, but you would love to see as a movie?
3. Have you ever run up your basement stairs like your life depended on it?

message 2562: by GWX (new)

GWX | 43 comments 1: I've had many dreams of existing casually in a relatively public place - be it Museum, Castle, Movie Theater, School, whatever - when suddenly, some threat manifests itself and makes me feel in mortal danger (usually a tiger), and starts killing everyone as I desperately run in slow motion while trying not to be noticed. The closest a film has ever come to recreating this feeling was in Jordan Peele's 2022 film Nope, which I loved quite a bit and recommend going into blind. If you've seen it, you probably know what part of it reminded me of this.
2: It isn't a horror book, but Goodbye Eri by Tatsuki Fujimoto is an absolute masterpiece that's probably more deserving of a cinematic treatment than any other manga, like it or not - you'll understand why when you read it. Highly recommend, greatly looking forward to the Look Back movie this year.
3: Yes.

1: What book do you wish most that you hadn't gotten spoiled for you? (If you haven't been spoiled for any books, I envy you and would instead ask what book you most strongly don't want others to get spoilers for.)
2: What's your favorite character from a horror book (be they final girl, vicious monster, loveable sidekick that dies immediately, whatever)?
3: What kinds of things scare you most in horror books?

message 2563: by LTJ (new)

LTJ (ltj81) | 2006 comments 1 - I have never gotten a book spoiled since I don't tell friends what I'm reading and when I do start a novel, I avoid any reviews or updates on them. So when Stephen King drops his next new novel in May, I'll stick to Goodreads updates and that's it

2 - Pennywise since that is the craziest killer clown I've ever read in a book. I remember reading IT as a teenager and I loved it so much since it genuinely creeped me out so much

3 - Demonic possessions by far. If it's written right, it creeps me out to where any little noise I hear at home makes me double-check things

1 - What is your all-time favorite moment when visiting a library or bookstore?

2 - Do you listen to music while reading? If so, what genre?

3 - If you could meet your all-time favorite author in real life, dead or alive, what would be the first thing you tell them?
