1. Don't mind the commute, listen to CBC and enjoy the alone time.2. I was born and raised in the Ottawa area, moved across the river to Quebec because it's cheaper and my wife doesn't speak much English.
3. Absolutely 15 minutes in any direction and your out of the city and in the country. Gatineau parks, ski hills, rivers and lakes, the parliament buildings, great restauraunts, the wold's longest scating rink, the Ottawa senators, bike paths, etc...I love my home.

I'm in the Kanata end of town and have to commute downtown but I enjoy The Team 1200 for the ride...Go Sens :)
