It's a monkey made out of special sock material. I had one when I was a kid, and I got one for Lucas when he was a toddler, but he never liked it. Maybe it gave him nightmares. I'm wearing my sock monkey pants right now.

Just so you know, I will be in PA this weekend at my in-laws vacation home relaxing, maybe going to a train museum. No sock monkeys, sock puppets, gatorskin tires or the like. Maybe I'll do that next weekend! LOL

They bought a house near Lake Wallenpaupack in one of the surrounding community associations.

oh, I had to google that, the name means The Stream of Swift and Slow Water, it's very pretty, sounds like a great weekend getaway

I also googled it. The area looks beautiful.

It is. My wife loves to go there and walk around and look at the water. They also have a pontoon boat that goes on the lake in the summer. It's a nice getaway from the hectic nature of our work weeks.

I had to look up the boat too...makes me feel like I ought to get away and vacation more often :)

It's really the only way we can get away lately, if just for a weekend.
