Multiple books

I've just started "Joe Jones: A Novel" by Anne Lamott while listening (again) to "Plan B" by Lamott on tape. For some reason, I tend to have anywhere from two to four books going at the same time. Not sure why, unless it's to enjoy a wide variety at once.
