Upon adding my original edition of Cancer ward I discovered that the USSR is not listed as a setting. Russia also needs to be added.
Solzhenitsyn clearly writes about the Soviet Union and not the Russian Federation (which didn't exist when he wrote) Cancer Ward & Gulag are about the Soviet Union.
Similarly, most of the great Russian authors were either writing about Russia (e.g, Dostoyevsky ) or the Soviet Union or both (e.g. Pasternak-Doctor Zhivago covers the period 1905-1921))
I've raised this issue before--and funnily enough the country was Russia then too. Otis stays so suspiciously quiet that I suspect GR is using a bespoke list that can't be edited.
I keep asking for the oceans to be added, too. Also, planets!
