Author's self nominated titles - next poll this month

I know many of the group authors who are less well known to members have had problems getting enough votes to be part of the monthly readings. Competing in the polls against well known authors is difficult and can become frustrating in the end.

To give the less known authors to the group a better chance of having one of your novels read and discussed, a new poll will soon commence, to be held every three months. Who actually is a less known author is hard to define, but for the Fantasy Book Club it is a group author who has not had a book yet read as part of our monthly readings.

There has been a few authors who were relatively unknown and did succeed in having a book discussed, but this new poll should give less known authors a better chance. There are some restrictions, so check the guidelines at the top of the folder (link below) to see if your novel qualifies. If you wish to nominate one of your books, post the information about your novel in a new thread, per guideline instructions.

This new way of selecting a tri-monthly reading/discussion was suggested by group members and is under trial at present. How successful it will be at finding new readers for your novels will depend on many factors, but I do hope that it does give you a better chance to become better known as an author within the fantasy community.

If any author wishes to withdraw from the nominations Poll, just contact one of the Moderators. We will move the thread to the old posts folder (as you can then easily be placed back for future polls).
