712amanda In the book accidental love a very brave/ rough girl named Marisa falls in love with a complete nerd named Rene. It all started when Marisa and Rene picked up the wrong cell phones at the hospital. When they met to return each others cell phones they became acquainted with each other. As the story continues the relationship between Marisa and Rene grows into a more serious relationship. I feel that Marisa changed the most throughout the book because in the beginning she was very aggressive and quick to hit someone but towards the end she shows more of her soft side and learns how tocontrol her anger. It seemed like she started to treat people the way she treats Rene which is with kindness and love. I never thought Marisa was a bad person she was just a girl with a bad temper. Rene changed too. He learned how to stand up for himself but not as much as marisa. She was totally different person at the end.
I loved the way the author kept adding new people/things in the book. In one chapter they introduce a girl named Pricilla who when Rene and Marisa were auguring with each other comfort Marisa. Marisa and Pricilla became good friends at the end. Marisa gave a lot of advice to Pricilla who was also having boy trouble at the moment. Towards the end Rene found a kitty. He and Marisa hid it while they went to school. When they came back for it after school it was gone. That same day Marisa found out she couldn’t got to that school anymore because she was not. I found it very interesting how when the kitty was gone, right after that so was Marisa. It like the author was using that kitty as a symbol.
The author emphasized a lot throughout the book how different the two were (Marisa &Rene). The book is called “Accidental love.” Yeah they met by accident but was them falling in love an accident? Is love even accidental? There’s no rule that said you have to love certain people. You just do. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like. You are who you are and the person that says they love you accepts that.
