I'm having a horrible night- found out the man I've been dating( I thought) has found somebody else. This was after, of course, he had asked me to lunch and I had said yes. Anyways, again thank u for the big kid response. Sometimes, I do feel like 'who r these kids and why r they calling me mom?!?' I don't feel grown up! Sigh...
Aww Ginny ;( didn't mean to make ou cry. Here's a hug across the net;) As A 'Big kid' myself I definitely know the feeling. Course I've not got a family of my own yet,I'd love one, but at the rate I'm going I can't really see it happening ;p Hate it when bad things happen to good people, but well no point raging against the dying of the light I suppose, it's happened, ahh well eh ;)
"We get bigger, we get taller, we get older. But, for the most part, we're still a bunch of kids, running around the playground, trying desperately to fit in""In some ways we grow up; we have families... we get married, divorced... but for the most part we still have the same problems that we did when we were fifteen. No matter how much we grow taller, grow older, we are still forever stumbling... forever wondering, forever... young."
those are some of my quotes from Gray's Anatomy about growing up, don't worry about getting old, we all do at some point, that is just wut happens and you never are old as long as you're feeling young.. like Ross said you're just a big kiddo ;)xx

I just saw this lol, We don't say "shemsawya" just "kef 7alek" or "shen eljaw" we- teens i mean- say that last one a lot, its like "wuts up" lol, we even text it as "shej"
you don't want to hear me talking pure-libyan, it has lots of twisted italian (+twisted Arabic of course) and you wouldn't get anything lol, we don't have much of a strong accent though, i don't think you'd have any problem understanding me IF i chose my words carefully.... lol
Oh get your shit together please!! i need to ask a stupid question... When i want to change a direct question like "Which tunnel did you work on?" to a reported form using (He wanted to know) do I say:
"He wanted to know which tunnel I had worked on" Or just "He wanted to know which tunnel I worked on"
sorry I'm not good at the grammar thing at all
I think it's 'He wanted to know which tunnel I had worked on' since the original sentence has 'did', which is simple past, but mind you, I'm still pretty new to this teaching gig so don't accept my word 100% ;p
Well i thought so too... but my book has the same rule and the other sentence which is confusing lol thanks anyways =)
technically both sentneces are correct as they both have forms of simple past 'had worked' is kinda the same as 'worked' only 'had worked' is past perfect. The fact remains that 'worked' sort of says that the action is finished, and perhaps 'had' is not needed. That help at all? ;p

im glad youre back paul, you were gone for a few days what happened?
i know that, but why were you really gone?
yeah it does, we dont celebrate on my birthday anymore. its kinda sad.
actually its really sad.
alot of people lost their lives on that day.
alot of people lost their lives on that day.
i remember when it happened. i was in class. we watched it on the news. we actually got to see the second plane fly into the tower.
yeah I think it's terrible, but you should still celebrate your birthday y'know I mean after all it's a good day for you isn't it, regardless of what it now means.Oh and incidentally I didn't mean to stir uup any painful memories, how tactless of me, I apologize ;(
thats ok i dont mind.
i just dont feel right celebrating on a day that so many people were lost.
i just cant help but think about all of the families that lost there loved ones.
