Hey Jacob lovers (even though I am a Team Ed) and Hello many more Edward Lovers! Or do you not know what to decide? Does it HAVE to be Edward or Jacob's fault?? Maybe there's another person to blame...someone who wants both of them in her ***ty little world...that's right: Bella.

I think that Bella needs to get her feelings straight.
I don't know that it is necessarily anyone's fault. I have been at points in my life where I had to try and choose between 2 people and wanted them both very badly. People each give us different things when it comes to relationships. Unfortunately, sometimes we don't know what that is until the relationship is over. I think she has trouble because Jacob and Edward each fulfill different needs that she has. I think some of those needs are very deeply rooted, possibly because of her parent's divorce. She had to grow up before her time and I think Jacob lets her be a "normal" teenager growing up at her own pace. She isn't worrying about Renee or Charlie all the time when she is with him.
With Edward she is able to have some of the most intellectual conversations of her life.She is able to express some of her inner most secrets, feelings and thoughts. That can build such a strong bond.
You're right! well most of it anyway :DNo one is really to blame not even Bella, she is just very confused. If Edward hadn't come into her life, she would have ended up with Jacob (but that wouldn't make a very good book now would it!) Edward isn't to blame for how he feels, and neither is Jake in a way, even though he likes to make things very difficult for Bella and Edward.
But i still don't like Jacob no matter what!
Jen that was very well-said!! Can you imagine having to choose between the two? It'd be so hard. I find that even after reading the series so many times, I'm still not dead-set on who I'd pick... Jacob is a breath of fresh air for someone like Bella, she's used to being really responsible and maybe even a little shut-up inside herself, but he really lights her fire. And Edward is basically all the best parts of a man who's seen the world and has the experience of an older guy, but it's all wrapped up in a perfect teenage package. With him she knows she'll be taken care of and never want for anything. But we all have so many pieces that make up our whole self, and Bella's sort of stuck between two people that really touch her in completely different places (non pun intended! get your minds out of the gutters!!). I STILL don't know who I'd pick. And Jake is bloody persistent!!

HA! Fwit, you just said that she needs Jacob! Didn't you just say that Edward is better for her? .................What if Edward leaves Bella again? Will she go back to Jacob for support, and when Edward comes back...she will choose Jacob!

What Bella needed was for Jacob to die!!!
I don't HATE Jacob...it's just Edward was the first guy she really LOVED. And I think she just might be scared by getting married when she knows what happened to Renee and Charlie. Jacob doesn't push that on her. That might make Edward sound evil but he's waited, like, a hundred-something years for a soul-mate and now that's he's got one he's a little impatient. He's a bit'needy' or 'clingy' because he hasn't really had any 'friends' in his life for a long time that he doesn't live with or that aren't immortal (practically) and he doesn't understand fully that Bella needs some space to miss him. Jacob also doesn't push that, so that's what I think her appeal to Jacob is. Because I think this way I don't think Jacob would be right for her..or her him. For one, he's, like, REALLY strong and a young werewolf, and Bella's...delicate and clumsy. Jacob also comes across as arogant to me and Bella would (I think) get sick of that fast.

I LOVE JACOB HAA to all u jacob hater:D okay bella needs jacob in a way that edward cant come between she needed him and still does i dont get why she isnt scared out of her pants of edward after she found out he was a vampire i would be i mena she wasnt even scared when he said that she was the one he wanted to suck bloood out of i would be screaming my head off but she on the other hand remains calm wat if this is all a just a thrill to her and she just wants edward bc hes like a toy to her and she really just wants jacob??
Like i said in the other board, i think its the bad boy thing, and like in the other post, sorry bout the Jake thing... I get too wound up over the books :D
