April- Pick It For Me! Challenge

TBR:
1. Impossible by [author:Nancy Werlin..."
Hi Leah :)
I finished Succubus Blues last night and really enjoyed it. I would have given it 5 stars if I hadn't found it hard to get into at first but now I'm looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for the pick :)

We REALLY do need a sarcasm font, i almost choken on my Farina reading LL's comment.
Jim, i love your sense of humor! I kind of got a cold overnight (go figure how that happened), and was sitting here trying to get myself out of that sick mood i get and you fixed it right up. Thanks!

I just finished The Rabbi's Daughter. Thank you for the recommendation it was so good! You can check at my review if you'd like. (Idk how to show it here...lol.) I hope your enjoying the book I picked out for you.

I finished Garden Spells the other day. What a great, "feel good" book, I really enjoyed it. I made the mistake of reading a few reviews that compared it to Practical Magic and that distracted me a bit, but I worked through it. I'm looking for to reading Embers soon.
Thanks again for the recs!

Rossy, anything that makes you happy makes me happy. Hope the cold clears quickly.

So glad you liked it, I really think you will like Ember also - in a different way.

The challenge is actually closed for this month, but if it's okay with Rossy, I'd be happy to partner with you :)

Angela, you can compare your books with Ahrcadia and take a look at the kind of books you have in common. That should give you an idea of what you'd like to recommend for her.
She'll be doing the same for you and out of the options she will give, you will commit to finishing one for this month. Let me know if you have any questions or am sure Ahrcadia would be happy to explain anything as well.

Its all good.I was grumpy this morning also, which is why the snorting out of coffee.Don't feel like you have to apologize.I am far from easily offended, especially when it has to do with what people say about/think of me in cyber space.

I am so glad you enjoyed it!!! (5 stars worth!) I picked up Both Sides of Time from the library but have not started yet. Maybe this weekend or early next week. I will let you know as soon as I have read it!

Thanks for a great recommendation!

I just wanted to let Sara know that I'm reading another of her recs from February - Seduced By A Scoundrel, and enjoying it greatly!!

What you just did is more than enough. You are more than welcome to share a review with us here, but it is not required to complete to challenge.
I love The Book Thief, too, and it was Pick-It-For-Me Challenge recommendation, too. : )

From your TBR list:
1. The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
2. Dark Lover by J. R. Ward
3. Austenland by Shannon Hale
New Books:
1. The Least Likely Bride..."
Hi Leah! Thanks again for the recommendation. I enjoyed Dark Lover. I'm going to continue with the series at a later date. I'm curious about what happens to the other brothers. Of course with my luck the brother that I liked the most, Tohr, doesn't really have his own book (i know hes mentioned in another one later).
So, 2 out of 4 recs completed. Up next, Cry No More.

Glad to hear it! That's one of my faves by Julie Garwood.

I plan on reading at least a series by Linda Howard this week. Cry No More was recommended to me by a few GR friends, i wonder if you'll like it.

The one thing I love about this challenge is that for me it makes me step out of my comfort zone, ex. suspense and paranormal romances. It seems a though a lot of people love cry no more so, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I read it a couple of months ago for the Featured Author Challenge, and it blew me away. I think you'll enjoy it.

Hi BJ,
I finally read [book:Anyone But Youtoday and I really enjoyed it. This was my first read of a Jennifer Crusie book and it wont be the last. I hope to get round to reading the other recs you gave but probably not this month.
I really hope you enjoy my recs ;)

The library just notified me that The House at Riverton is ready for me to pick up, so I can finally get started!
Glad you enjoyed Anyone But You. It's also the only Jennifer Crusie book I've read, but I definitely enjoyed it enough to read more of her books - if I can ever reduce my TBR mountain!

I finished Cry No More yesterday. Wow, everyone was right! Oh my gosh! What a good book!! I loved it. And suspense is usually not a genre I gravitate towards. Rossy!! You should definitely read it! Avidreader, thanks for the awesome rec! I would definitely give this book 5 stars, no question. I loved Diaz and Milla!
Ok, so 3 down 1 more rec to go. Up next, Only By Your Touch

Thanks for the recommendation, while I won't get to any more of them this month, I have added several others to my teetering tower of a TBR :)

Definitely got me on the BDB, that was my Pick-It-For-Me rec a couple months ago. Since then I have read them all and I am ready for Lover Mine - exciting, next week :)

I'm still not sure if you were serious about the misogynous vibe thing or not. (Did I mention our need for a sarcasm font?) Not to go all knee-jerk, but seriously, I don't know anybody who doesn't like women for who they are who would read as much women's literature as I do. Happily married for nearly 18 years. I don't cheat and I've never hit a woman. Love my mother and my sisters too. I even get along well with my mother-in-law. Most of my income comes from photographing women's shoes. I have close family and friends in the LGB community. I'm very aware of and fully support equal rights for all. Not like women? Nothing could be further from the truth.
As for the "natural" protein stance, I'm not quite sure of what you are referring. If you are asking if I think people should be vegetarians? No. I am a carnivore through and through. If you had another question, just ask and I'll answer as best I can.
