Phil | 11667 comments There are a lot of times I'm reading something online, and notice someone has created a link to something using http://tinyurl.com or a similar service.

I never click on these, because I have no idea where they're going to take me. After all these years online, I find I'm fussy about things like that. If I ever do click on one, it will probably take me to some hardcore porn site while my son is looking over my shoulder. That could be a teaching moment, or it could just be extremely awkward.

I messed around with it a bit when I was tweeting, but now that Facebook does such a neat job of incorporating links I don't ever think about it.
