Hi....I liked the Sable Quean...I was surprised when Clarrisa that rabbit or whatever her name was killed Zwilt...bonus!
And they made such a big deal about "Will buckler blademaster be able to defeat the sable quean" and he didnt even defeat zwilt.
Yeah! And he didn't defeat the Sable Quean ether, if you think about it he really didn't kill anyone of importance through the whole book. And what was up with the mad hedgehog? I don't remember but isn't that like the first bad hedgehog in any of his books? Why did he make a hedgehog bad? I thought rats were bad, if Triggut had been a rat there probably wouldn't be any difference in the character.
I think Sable Quean is probably my least fav. in all the Redwall series. He kills off Flandor!!!!! I cried for like an hour and I still can't reread the book. Trust me, I tried. Poor Flandor!
Elizabeth wrote: "Yeah I think it's my least favorite too."High five! I love all of the Redwall series, that one's just my least favorite out of all of them.
Doomwyte was okay, but I know what you mean about Sable Quean. Though the Sable Quean herself was pretty cool.
Lol, yes, that he was. Brian Jacques did I really good job on him. Now, if Brian Jacques hadn't killed off Flandor I would have loved that book. I got the ARC version in Nov, and I couldn't believe it then! I even wrote a letter to Brian Jacques asking that he wouldn't kill off Flandor (I know, so childish, but I loved the character and I cried when he died) but I never sent it. To be quite honest, I think I forgot about it. Hm, too late now, huh.
Not at all childish, I was going to write to him and ask him if I could collect all his poems from Redwall in one book. Never got around to it though.
Well, I meant it was kind a childish to write him and ask him to not kill off my fav. character. But at that moment I figure it was worth a try. I know what you mean about the never getting around to it. I wonder how much it cost to even send something to England.
No, he doesn't. He has too many, he says to answer them. But at the very least I know he reads them. He said he sets aside an entire Monday just to sit down and read fan-mail. Can you imagine that?
I can't remember where I read that. Funny. I think it was on his website, in the Q/A page. I don't remember.
OMG HOW COULD I FORGET HIM HE WAS AN OTTER FER CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! SO SAD!!!!
Yes, and he was the coolest otter ever! (In this book anyway.) He comes in when Glib's sister and brother are captured and he is one of the prisoners. Ouch, just talking about him makes me want to cry.
