Did anyone watch the premiere of this show last night on the FX channel? It was SO good. Great show!

I missed it, but I am going to try and catch it this weekend. It looked like a good show - glad to hear that it is. Thanks for the heads up!
I LOVE Timothy Olyphant! Have you watched Deadwood? That was a great show that those idiots over at HBO axed. Without any kind of ending whatsoever. I DVR'd this show, but haven't watched it yet. Glad to know it's good. How about Hitman, or The Perfect Getaway? Really good movies.
I liked the show too! I love olyphant, he is such a great character actor, he can make u love him and be scared of him at the same time! I was so wrapped up in the show I was surprised when it was at the end! I am excited for the next episode!
I love watching Olyphant. there is just something about him, especially in the law-man role. We watched it too and were sucked in right away.
Both GREAT movies Lori.... loved them! I didn't see Deadwood though I heard it was really good. Glad you also liked it Faith and Roxy... I was sucked in too!! We wanted it to keep going... like it was a movie or something...
Olyphant has always been good, from Deadwood, to the last season of Damages. The premiere was good, and a bit surprising, as I thought they would take the Nazi friend story a bit longer, if not the whole season. Will be a bit refreshing to see what they do, as long as it doesn't become bad guy of the week.
Plus the premiere was the best ever on FX, second only to The Shield.
Allen, I agree. I didn't think they'd kill the Nazi friend right away either.I also didn't realize he was in Damages. That show looked real good from the commercials I saw but never got around to recording or catching it.
Brad watches Damages Roxy... I missed too much of the first season (before we had 2 DVR's) and so never got that into it. What I've seen of Damages though is REALLY good.
I finally saw this last night and loved it! What a great new show - I can't wait to see where they take it. I love Olyphant - he rocks in this role!
Yeah, Damages is good stuff, its won quite a few awards. I'm only halfway through the second season though.
They didn't kill his Nazi friend off. Didn't you all see him at the beginning in a prison hospital? I think they'll do something in time with Nazi boy, after he gets well. I love Jason Statham and could watch him do nothing all day, now i've got to put Timothy Olyphant up there with him. I got cought up looking at this man I almost forgot the story line. He is just OMG fine. That little bit of white/gray in his hair on the sides, just tears me up!
I tried to watch the first season of Damages, and by the end of the season I was aggravated with the whole show. If I had known he was on the 2nd season I might have tried again.
This is the best new drama series this year to come out.
Lori, all the comments about the Nazi friend were made prior to the airing of episode two. I was surprised to see they he did survive to episode two. I agree, Tim Olyphant is great to look at!!!
My bad Roxy, I didn't watch it till late Wednesday. I had a brain fart thing everyone watched it the same time I did. hehehehehe He ask Raylan if he missed on purpose, he smiled and said no, he was shooting to kill. But I don't believe Raylan. I think he missed on purpose! There's not that many actors in my movie going life that I can say that about, but he's in my top 5. The man is awesome looking!
Because of conflicts, I end up DVRing the 11pm episode. I generally plan to NOT watch it at 11 pm, go to bed instead. But as my 10pm show ends and teh DVR automatically changes the channel to Justified I can't seem to turn it off once it starts!
Hmm, it was released a bit late on the net. Interesting ep, I really can't tell if Boyd is legit or fake...
Boyd is full of shit. Raylan might just kill him before the end of the season. I haven't watched this weeks yet, but every episode has been awesome.
Me three! When I opened up this message it went to Holli's #1 message about the premiere and I had a little panicky moment thinking I'd missed the S2 premiere!
I love this show. The writing is so fantastic. Every character, every line, is like poetry. Add the country accent and it's like butter. I dvr'd the reruns and have been rewatching season 1 a little at a time and enjoying it all over again while waiting for season 2 to start next week.I loved the episode where they had all of Boyd's "church members" in the marshall's office and they kept repeating the same line about sheep and Dewey screwed the line up.
I find myself watching the preview commercials, instead of fast forwarding them, when rewatching these old episodes...that is how much I can't wait to see new episodes!
Looking forward to the new season! My husband loves this show! I like it, too, but not as much as him. I understand the show is filmed mostly in PA. I was surprised as it looks so much like eastern KY. Much of my family lives in eastern KY, so I'm quite familiar with it.
Wow, PA......I would have guessed KY too. My husband likes this show too. Not too many shows that we both like. We tend to humor each other when it comes to TV.
What a great season premiere!Skanky Redneck Dude: "I saw you and your hat on TV, Raylan" Hahahaha
Can anyone tell me why Ava was in handcuffs and led away in the very beginning? I can't remember everything about last year's finale so I don't know why she's in trouble.
Great new villians this year. I was glad to see Boyd up to his old tricks, Fire in the hole! He's a villian I like and dislike at the same time.
LOVED the premiere!! So many quotable lines... We can't remember what happened in last year's finale either. LOL I too love to hate Boyd.
I never thought they'd have a season two villain as creepy and scary as Bo Crowder but whoever that Mags is, so far she's got him beat. That scene where she killed Loretta's dad - that was wild. I don't know why Ava was in handcuffs unless it has something to do with her killing her husband? I can't remember the line exactly, but he said something about how he used to shoot rats when he was a kid. He'd go outside to the toilet to get them and they just have to go into the kitchen. I don't know why Raylan picks Winona over Ava...
Mags killing Loretta's dad was so unexpected, I couldn't believe it was happening.I thought Ava was cleared for killing her husband early last season. Winona is bitchy and Ava isn't. He should stick with Ava.
I don't know why anyone chooses to see an ex, they're exes for a reason, right?
My favorite part was when Raylan sprayed gasoline all over the pervert. Its was so unexpected and what Raylan said to the guy "you do know how a gun works". I had to laugh. I like Winona. I think the scenes with her and Raylan have more heat. They obviously have some issues to still work out before their done with each other.
The gas part was unexpected and pretty funny. When Loretta asked if it was true, Raylan said, "I don't know but it sounded good." lol
The finale ended with the niece of the Miami drug lord getting away from the Crowder cabin and Boyd leaving Raylan behind to go after her. They played the last little bit on the premiere. Ava in handcuffs might have been because there were shots fired at the cabin. I just watched all of season 1, including the finale, a little before the premiere and I can't for the life of me remember why she was in handcuffs. Pathetic :(Jackie..."it sounded good" was my favorite line! I did love the gasoline shower. It still blows my mind at how great the writing is for this show.
Can't wait until another new episode...tonight!
I really like this series, and am quite surprised that I do. I was expecting a 'cowboy' television show, but got something smarter. If my hubby had not turned on this show, I doubt I would have, even, been curious. It's got brains, heat, and intricacies that I like to see in any television series. The characters are rich, and real. Of course, Olaphant has a lot to do with setting that tone. He is fabulously handsome, with a rough edge that I like to see in heroes. I've seen movies he has been in,..mostly he's played the bad guy, and had a hard time envisioning him as a hero, until the first episode.
Wow, to say the least, and an additional wow for the supporting cast. Olyphant's antagonist, the criminal turned preacher, is the most surprising of all. He's Olyphant's inverse to the 'inth' degree! These two turn hate into a sport! I never thought that I would enjoy a 'cowboy-esqe' series, but this one is outstandingly smart, and hot! Love it!

I have to credit FX with their outstanding and innovative series. The same thing happened to me with Sons of Anarchy, biker criminals, no thanks ... but when I finally did watch it, I couldn't pry myself away from the DVD player. I watched all three season in less than one week.
I think FX does a great job with new drama shows. I don't watch all of them but I love Sons of Anarcy and Justified and for the most part (aside from the irremediably evil Vic Mackey!) I liked The Shield. I tried watching Lights Out but didn't get into it.

Rescue Me is good.... we've loved watching it along with The Shield, Terriers, Sons of Anarchy, and now Justified. Nip/Tuck was good up until the last couple of seasons.
I love Rescue Me big time. Terriers was really good. I'm disappointed that it didn't attract enough viewers to keep it on.
I didn't see the "Crazies" yet, Michael, but since you mentioned that Olyphant is in it,...I'll be sure to rent it. There are some actors that carry the show/movies, even when they are horrible, and Olyphant is one of those who can :). I like Rescue Me, and think Terriers was really interesting. My favorite of the two is Terriers. The actors are not much to look at,...well the star anyway, but the plot line is very good.
Sons was fabulous, until the past season. Another series I would not let anybody under the age of 18 watch. I was so disappointed with the whole trip to Ireland storyline. Jax is gorgeous, but he needs to stop doing his Brad Pitt impersonation....:). He was so much better, before one of the characters made the comment that he was "less ___ than Brad Pitt." I think it went to his pretty head.
I loved the 3rd season. I loved the final episode. Again, a show that brought it all together. I admit I didn't get the Ireland storyline...until later when it all fell into place.
Anyone ever watch Homicide: Life on the Streets? That's one of my favorite shows. I recently joined Blockbuster's online movie club and I'm thinking of rewatching that show. It's either that or The Sopranos which I've never seen.
I never saw Homicide,...Michael. I don't know if we even get it, but it's probably on Netflix, so I'll check it out too. Oh, I did get a chance to watch Crazies (Olyphant). Wow,..that was a horrible movie, but it was worth it to see one of my favorite stars! He has a way of rescuing even really bad shows.
