lol!I didn't expect it to be that great either... I just picked it up because I was bookless at the time... :)
Is Finnikin the first in a series or a stand alone novel? I will have to pick it up, it appears to have lots of good reviews!
No problem, let us know how much you like it. Now I want to reread it. I wonder if there are any other books like that??
Peep wrote: "Islamq, I second Finnikin of the Rock! I loved that one."I have that one from the library to read soon :)
Heidi I wrote: "I just finished
and highly recommend the audiobook version of this book. I loved the narrator :)"Loved this book...
MILLY: Yep! Oh, but Finnikin is tons better than Graceling, totally blows it out of the water (admittedly though, they aren't similar). ROSABELLE: Now I think I have to give that book another try. Never finished it the first time around
HEIDI I: Hop to it!
Peep wrote: "Hows about after I finish this post?"Oh geez. There is just no pleasing you is there? Well now I'm off to talk to my counselor about why I never feel good enough. *sigh*
I highly recommend Divine by Mistake - could not stop reading, and I love the main character Shannon :)
Heidi, I recommend it. It took me a long time to understand what was going on, but I still kept reading. Then I couldn't put it down. I loved it. It was just so good. Seriously, you should read it and don't give up on it! It was so sad and so good at the same time.
Really recommend Solid by Shelley Workinger. It's a light and fast read, but I still got invested in the characters. And after reading this, I guess I have to try the Fever series!
I just finished Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus and definitely recommend it. It was a pretty original paranormal concept for YA and Anastasia pulled it off really well.
I just finished
and recommend it. Be warned it is not actually a YA book so it does have cussing (a lot) and some sexual references.

Roshini I thought Princess Academy was okay, it wasn't a favorite for me. I gave it three stars. The Goose Girl was definitely my favorite of her books.
I really really liked Princess Academy. It was a phenomenal story and the characters were really neat. I love that it is a stand-alone novel too.
I loved The Goose Girl too; Princess Academy was indeed 'alright' in comparison. Speaking of the former, I always associate it mentally with The Seer and the Sword by Victoria Hanley. Both books are awesome in a similar way. Maybe I'll re-read..again :)
I recently read
. Technically it's an adult book because it ends up in adult fiction, it's about a fifteen year-old who is very much like Jeff Lindsay's Dexter. The whole plot was very strange. Over all, it was absolutely brilliant, touching, dark, funny, and clever.

I LOVE Jeff Lindsey, I will have to pick this one up.
I just finished
today and I recommend it. It took a bit for me to get into it but when it picked up, man did it pick up!! I couldn't put it down, I read it all through the work day.

I didn't expect Finnikin to be so good. I said (in my review) that even I was proud to be Lumateren (or whatever they were). That was one book where I would have loved a sequel. Yep, Finn was flawed but so likable.
