I am new to this group, and writing in general. I've taken Comp I and II while working towards a B.S. as well as written lots of essay papers, etc... However, I would LOVE to try to write a book. Still, I am not sure I really know how to do it. I know I have to select a topic first. Then I should brainstorm, jotting down my ideas in a study format such as diagram, or a sub title with ideas itemized benath. Perhaps research some ideas. Then jot down my sources for citations. I think I want to write ab book on women's issues, and the current evolution of women who want to create change within the patriarchal system. I am not sure if I may be biting off far more than I can chew at this point, however. I also know I should select a topic I am passionate about. I certianly could use help figuring all this out, and getting started on something. Thank you in advance to all who would respond with tips.
Sincerely,
Shelly M.
