Jeri Nilsen I have fond childhood memories of the monkey puzzle (or monkey tail) trees that were a unique part of the landscape where I grew up in the Northwest. Any reference to these trees in literature fascinates me.

What an unusual tree. I would never have chopped it down. It would not grow well in my area's climate; darn it.

Selene Moon I loved the film but never read the book. Does anyone know where I can purchase a copy? I have looked on amazon and ebay but they are really expensive

Kari Amazon has a Kindle version now.
