If you go to the "Settings" tab under My Account & scrole about halfway down to where is says "Public Profile." In that box it will tell you your nickname.

Rebecca I just sent you a request on PBS. Sorry If this sounds stupid, but how exactly would I know you were posting a book on my wishlist before you already posted it?

basically, before entering a book you check your friends lists. Then, if someone wants it, you post it to THEM--and they have the option to take it/not take it. So if you get a message saying something along the the lines of XX from your friends list has posted the book YY that is on your wish list. Do you want it? I'm not sure that's the exact wording, but it will be something similiar.

I have several books on my wish list, but they are kind of esoteric, and I don't really expect to EVER get them, but, since I'm also not willing to pay what the asking price for them is, I'll just go on waiting. Unless I get lucky and find one at a thrift store/used book store I'll probably never really get them. (They are books on dating fabrics and quilts, for those inquiring minds.)

Does anyone know if there's a way to search all of your friends wish lists to see if any of them want a specific book without having to manually check each buddy?

Don't think so, but maybe there's a way to request something like that? They have been slowly upgrading the site (the estimate feature for books on WL new-ish)

I would have to say no as well. I looked on their message boards & there was a thread from earlier this year asking the same thing. The response at the time was no, but things could have changed since then.
