I just finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series as I am a huge Greek Mythology addict. Even though they were geared more for a younger audience I still found them highly entertaining and a really good, easy read.Additionally I just finished up Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom as well as Freedom (by Daniel Suarez).
Next up on my platter of things to read are the Circle Series by Ted Dekker; I keep hearing good things about this series so I figured it was time to finally read it. Also the new book in the Fate of the Jedi series is out and I am a sucker for all things Star Wars.
Just started Iron Sunrise by Charles Stross. The beginning feels more like Peter F. Hamilton than the other works of Stross' works.
I am reading "Heir to the Empire" by Timothy Zahn, "The Drowning City" by Amanda Downum and "Daemon" by Daniel Suarez (audible book).
Just finished listening to Gene Wolfe's The Shadow of the Torturer, while reading The Blade Itself. I am still not sure how I feel about the Wolfe book. Beautifully written, but often rambling and it moved very slowly. Just not sure . . .

In print, with today being the start of spring, today I'm starting my quest to finish the book Infinite Jest before spring ends (i.e. on or before June 19th). It's kind of like http://www.infinitesummer.org from last year, but I'm calling it "Infinite Spring." ;)I had such good intentions to finish Infinite Jest this summer before the school year started. Maybe I'll pick it up again and call it Infinite 2009/2010!

Starting Robert Lousis Stevenson's "Kidnapped" on Audio. its one of the classics I haven't read yet.
Started reading "Running with the Demon" by Terry Brooks. He's good, but likes to meander through the plot. Wish I could find some sci-fi/fantasy that was a little more minimalistic.
I've just finished a marathon listening (on audiobook) of The Black Cloud by Fred Hoyle. It proved to be very nice slightly dated contemporary science fiction.
Joshua wrote: "Started reading "Running with the Demon" by Terry Brooks. He's good, but likes to meander through the plot. Also his stories about detective Elijah Baley - Pretty sure the first one is The Caves of Steel (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41...)
For comic fantasy you can't beat Terry Pratchett - early books were short - later books better written

Finally finished A Game of Thrones and wound up liking it so much at the end I had to go get A Clash of Kings and start reading it right away. I also picked up Boneshaker and started it. So far liking both of them, and having a hard time deciding which to read at any given moment!

Let us know how that one is. It looks interesting and funny.
I'm reading Mansfiald Park by Jane Austin right now. Taking a small break from Sci-fi and fantasy books for once.
I picked up The City and the City by Mieville (holy crap, China is a man? hahaha), plus Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri. Still reading 2666 by Bolano, but finally got through the killing parts, so it is moving faster now.
Kevin wrote: Don't be afraid to dislike Wolfe. The guy is the best writer and the worst story teller in the business.Ah, that is exactly what I felt, that the writing was beautiful, it just didn't GO anywhere, or at least took a very meandering path to get there!
I'm reading The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan. It's not as good as the first book in the series, but I've still managed to read half the book in one afternoon.
Just finished The Man in the High Castle and now on to Count Zero. Dick to Gibson can make your head spin, but still fun.
I just finished Lucifer's Hammer and have started The Name of the Wind I'm also still working on A Storm of Swords
Just started Terminal World by Alastair Reynolds, which seems to be a cross between Clarke's Against the Fall of Night/The City and the Stars and Vernor Vinge's Zones of Thought universe.
