Hi! My name is Jean and I live in southern CA. I normally read mysteries and thrillers but I also like to read a romance to change it up. I really enjoyed books from Emily Giffin and Lisa Kleypas. Would love to get some recommendations. Thanks!

HI! I'm Sheila from Alberta, Cananda. I joined because this group looks really fun and I love the idea of challenges to make my way through some of my TBR pile! Happy New Year!
P.S. The chubby chunkster and the monthly challenges are calling my name!
Hi I am Kirsty and have just joined. I get stuck with authors I like and need help to broaden my horizons. I like most kinds of romance books, historical, suspense/thrillers, contemporary. I have joined a challenge yet, where is a good place to start?
Hi folks I'm Linda and i just joined last night. I love to read! Mostly romance historical and paranormal; but a good mystery will get me too.
Hi, I'm Ellie and I just joined this group. I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I absolutely love reading and writing. I'm looking forward to getting to know people here and making new friends!
Rikki wrote: "I'm new and i just joined and I don't know what challenge i should do any help for the newbie?"Hi, Rikki! Welcome to the group.
Depending on how many books you read in a month, you can start with any of our regular monthly challenges. Check out the threads for the month of April.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Happy reading.
How much sex do you like in your romance? I write erotic romance and would appreciate your feedback.
Hi group!
I'm a new member to goodreads, although I've been lurking around the website in order to read its good reviwes for quite some time. I'm not super into romance, but this group looked so good, I just had to try. Not sure what challenge I'm going to start yet, but.... I'm excited!

Welcome group newcomers (that I've missed), great to see the group growing so much. Join the conversations in the threads & feel like you belong!

"We have a mixture of readers in the group, ranging from those who prefer 'clean' romances to those who have 'racier' tastes. The members here are all over the reading spectrum.

Welcome the group.
Although we predominantly read 'romance', we are not limited to it, so you don't have to limit yourself to romance just to enjoy the group.
Have fun exploring the different challenges. : )

Welcome to the group March Hare :) All the challenges are open to any book type; you don't have to stick to romance. ...It just happens to be a focus for most of us ;) As far as we are concerned, any reading is good reading! So put your reading sneakers on and challenge the tortoises!
Hello my name is Eunice and I come from England um well I and new this group this is my first ever group ob goodreads so uh well yeah so one more thing how do you reads books on here?
welcome newcomers. great to have you. Eunice I don't really understand your question? We're picking up our books and talking about them here.
Welcome Eunice! Hope you enjoy your time with our group :)As Pat noted, there are no books posted on this site - we are just chatting about books we have purchased or borrowed from libraries etc. Enjoy!
thx I am realizing I'm glad I joined this site and the group I think it going to be fun. I have joined the pick it challenge n hoping I did it right n hoping my profile is set to public. I love reading historical romance n romance just got in to some vamprie ,werewolfes books n paranormal romances n looking forward to trying new ones out to . looking for some enjoyable readings.
Welcome Debra!! I love this site - it is very interactive. Even if you don't necessarily chat much, the challenges suck you in ;)
BTW Debra - I checked and your profile is public :)I would also suggest that if you have some books that you would like to read, that you add them to your To-Be-Read list so that who-ever picks for you in the PIFM challenge has some idea of what you like... With only two books on your profile, I suspect they will struggle to work out what sort of romance books you would like to read, and therefore make recommendations to you :)
thanks Jane I will add. books today. I know I'm doing The one pick it challenge and looked at some others too. I'm looking forward to. reading n chatting

KAnon wrote: "Hello, new here. Still looking up challenges to decide what i want to start with. What is the Buddy Read? There isn't really an explanation.
Is there somewhere where there are challenges and..."
Hi KAnon, and welcome! Buddy reads can form in many different ways. We have a group buddy read that we vote on and anybody who wants to can join in, there is also a M/M buddy read too. Both of those threads can be found in the Buddy Read section if you are interested. With the PIFM challenge, buddy reads often form as they can whenever several people say "I want to read that too!" They tend to be pretty informal. Feel free to jump in if you see one that interests you!
