:) Madge is going to become Katniss's confiding friend I think. It's the closest Katniss has gotten to having a girlfriend haha.

they probably will... cause wasnt she one of the few people who escaped district 12 when it was attaked?
i got rue. yay. shes my favorite character.
Oh and the person felt like she was a Mary Sue in the second book really.

Mary Sue is a type of name people give girl characters who they think rely on men, aren't smart, are useless, and sometimes in books try to seem that there the total opposite.
That term though isn't really quite 'real' because sometimes worrying about a character being mary-sue can be superficial/is so you should just continue reading/writing the book.

If you look around your school, you'll see tons of mary-sues. I don't think mary-sue characters are such an issue as long as their not mary-sue for lack of talent. Sometimes it's more realalistic.

I took like a billion different quizzes (cause you can never trust just one) and i got katniss on all of them...that would have been my guess anyway, though

Heck no!He was willing to die for Katniss like a million times over, how can you say that? A sissy would not give up his life and sacrafice himself. He did it for love, that is a TRUE man!

He is willing to die for Katniss, and to even let her go with Gale and be happy (CF--beach scene page two hundred and something for you non-believers) and he's not a coward in that sense, but it's just something in the HG that is sort of weird and out of character...he's like, "Well, I've got you to protect me now" to Katniss, which is extremely anti-macho.
That in my eyes is a real man. He wanted to protect and die for her. And was willing to give up his own happiness for her *if she picked Gale*Not only that but he didnt throw a fit at the possibility of her being with Gale. In fact, when Gale was being whipped he went in and helped and carried him back. Instead of leaving him there. Doesnt get any more manly than that.
I still don't get it...enlighten me :)

I dont remember that quote in the book. What was going on etc. But I would think he was being sarcastic no? I'm sure he does or he wouldnt ask for more ;P
