I didn't change this because Amazon has the 1/1/2002 copy as a "first edition" out of Canada (ISBN 9780002005142). I guess you'd have to prove which edition actually came out first.

Hmmm ... I was under the impression that amazon data is notoriously unreliable. Jiles is a US author, I find it hard to believe that the Canadian edition would be released before the US edition.

I agree with you, but I was going on the only data I had and wasn't willilng to "guess". If I had the book in hand I may be able to make some other judgments based on my professional experience.

I do have a few questions that might help, since you DO have the book.
1) Where did you find the date that you think is the actual 1st published date?
2) What ISBN does the book have? Check both the back of the book jacket (if it has one) AND the back of the title page and see if they are the same.
3)What is the last PRINTED page number? Even if there are more pages with printing, I need that one.
4) What publisher is listed on the Title page itself?

The goodreads edition that matches my ISBN is this one:
It states a publication date of Feb 05, 2002
When I google "enemy women" (using desktop and google chrome browser) I get a page with various links to amazon, goodreads, etc. On the right side of the page is a dashboard about the book and in that info is printed
Originally published: Feb 5, 2002
