GR does not accept google search as a reliable source. However, Worldcat agrees that the ISBN 096474533X was published in 1998. Updated publication date per Worldcat and your in-hand copy.

Those have two different ISBNs. I will work on combining and fix them.

The page numbers are correct for both editions based on WorldCat. The covers for both should be correct now.

This is the edition I have in my hands -
Book description indicates it was first published in 1936, and there are several other references around the net that confirms this, although I didn't see it in Worldcat (not sure I was looking in the right place).

GR has editions with 1936 as publication date, and Wikipedia states this is the year of first publication. Edited original publication date to reflect 1936.

Hi, I was directed here from another comment thread. I want to read Miss Pinkerton by Mary Roberts Rinehart for task 30.1. The cover has to have only black writing on it, which my edition of the book does have (1st edition, completely red with black writing). I was wondering if I could just put a link to the picture of the book when I have to show its cover.

Jack, GR does not accept covers from Ebay. However, you can scan the book you have and add the cover to your profile photos and a librarian can upload it from there. I suspect that your book is old enough that the cover will not be found on the internet.

Done. Looking at World Cat it looks like the 2013 date is the copyright rather than the publishing date.

Justme can you please clarify. The problem is that the paperback copy (which you actually have) has an ISBN number which is bringing up a Hardback version on Goodreads? So you want that changed?

There is no isbn# for the pb on Goodreads. And yes, if you search the isbn# of the in hand pb, Goodreads sends you to the hc.

It does have 189 pages, but the last page is unnumbered, leaving the last numbered page as 188.

Is there a convention of ignoring an unnumbered page at the end? I have no idea.

This particular edition does not have author and illustrator marked correctly. Mariko wrote the book, Jillian illustrated. Most of the other available editions have this noted correctly.
