Can someone correct the "first published" date on this book?The Pajama Girls of Lambert Square
It's currently showing as Jan 1, 2008 ...
But the earliest date I find in the various editions is February 1 2008 (though I really think it should be Feb 14, 2008)

Book Concierge, I suspect that you are correct about the Feb 1 and Feb 14 dates, but, without more investigation, I changed it to match earliest edition on GR (ie 2/1/08).PS: When the pub date reflects only a year such as 2008, GR defaults to January 1.

The task I'm using it for is NOT a cover task, but I hate to have a wrong cover on my shelf.

Normally, Librarians aren't allowed to use Amazon to correct page numbers. But since this a Kindle Book, I did correct the page number.

Amazon is listed in the Librarian Manual as an acceptable source for all book data. It wasn't at some earlier time, but to my understanding it is now.

Bea, says we're not supposed to, but Amazon is listed in the Goodreads Librarian Group as a site to use. I'll ask in that group.
Amazon is acceptable for Kindle books as it is the souce of Kindle. However, the standard is Worldcat for page count. That is what Anne will find when she asks in the Librarian Group.And, Camilla, Amazon is accepted for much data just not page counts.

When I look at all the editions the earliest publication date seems to be May 9, 2006

Here's another one with an odd "first published" date
This edition was published in Nov 2001, and the "first published" date is Jan 1, 2001.
However - THIS edition The Love Queen of the Amazon
shows it was published in March 1992
I checked WorldCat and it shows a copyright of 1992.
I'm waiting for inter-library-loan (since my library doesn't have it in its collection), so don't have a physical book to check on right now.

Outermost Dream, The: Essays and Reviews
The original edition for same ISBN had a generic cover. I copied the cover from abebooks.com, which, according to help documents, is an acceptable source.
Can someone confirm that I did this correctly? And can I now use this new edition for a task that requires a specific bookcover?

Although the rules of Goodreads say librarians must not replace cover art, they can add cover art when goodreads is showing a generic cover.
I've merged your extra edition into the one already on Goodreads, so now there's one hardback with ISBN 0394574435, and it has the correct cover.
But yes, you may now use this edition for a "specific cover" task.

Well, when I update how much I've
listened to--- it says p. 60 of 0%.
So it isn't calculating correctly how much I've read.
(I've listened to 1 disc of 10- so it should be
saying 10%.)
The paperback shows 602 pages.

As this is a audio book, Goodreads has decided to give the running time in hours as page numbers. As to the information I found the audio runs for 11 hours and 40 minutes I put 12 as page numbers.
Kathy G.: if your currently reading status update shows % rather than page numbers (or vice versa), you can click on the "%" sign (or word "page") to switch it.
Wondering if someone can help with adding a new edition. I just don't know how to do this.The only edition for the book currently is:

Can someone change the "first published" date on
It has defaulted to January 1st 2009. But I believe Sept is more accurate. I see editions with Sept 29, 2009 and editions with Sept 1, 2009 ... But I'd be happy if it at least said SEPTEMBER.

WorldCat gave me 213 pages for what I think is the right copy, so I've added that as the page count.
If the actual book in your hand has a different number of pages, let me know and I'll correct it!

GR does not allow two books with same ISBN. If you make an ACE (alternate cover edition), leave off the ISBN and put a note in italics (< i >...< / i >) at the top of the description stating that it is an alternate edition for ISBN xxxxx.
