Hey I was just on Max-Dan-Wiz (James Paterson official sight for Maximum Ride, Daniel X, and Witch and Wizard series), and he hasn't posted ANYTHING about Angel (the book) coming out in February. What's up with that? There is a thing for the 3rd Manga coming out in August, but not about Angel!!!!!

I don't know about the expiration date thing, but Max is about 15. None of the flock knows their actual birthdays, so they just made one up.

I really really really hope Max decides to screw Jeb. Why can't Iggy or Nudge take over. Hello.

My thoughts in order while reading the chapters (without having read FANG, of course... apparently I didn't miss much after all):

- "Sorry to dump all this on you. You probably popped open this tome hoping to find some kick-butt battles, some pithy wisecracks, some unlikely but oh-so-possible end-of-the-world scenario, only to find me up a tree, wallowing in self-pity." So true.  So true.
- Dylan's kind of awesome... his personality, I mean, not what he was programmed to do and crap.
- Imprinting?  Really, that bullcrap again? -.-
- How many freaking powers does Angel have?!
- Gosh, Max is a b*tch to... well, everyone.
- These chapters are overly short to the point of being laughable.
- Err... why is Max automatically being appointed "leader" when she is freaking 15, incredibly moody, seemingly doesn't care about any of this at all, and could essentially die any day?
- Oh, Iggy.  I still love you.
- What the [expletive]ing [expletive].
- Okay, nevermind that thing I said about Dylan earlier. Creep.

I agree with RedPath.  JP needs to put down his pencil, read what he's writing, and realize how insanely over the top it is.  The least he can do is quit the whole "this happened because I said it did" crap.  It makes the whole story unbelievable and irrational.  Definitely won't be reading this or any Maximum Ride book to come again. (Okay, that sounds really harsh.  But it's true.  I can't stand plot-driven fantasy crap like this.)

Aw, I missed Savita :(

The only good parts about those first 8 chapters was the mention of a mutant with thermal vision (well, in my vain opinion, anyways) and when Iggy talked about a bloody coup d'etat. Other than that, I was shaking my head in disgust the entire time. And he stole imprinting for Stephenie Meyer, which i find extremely pitiful.

I kinda wanna make up my own ending.
