Truthfully, I didn't think they were sad at all. But, then again, I'm not the biggest fan of animals. I always have the urge to say "It's just a dog..." xD
But I thought that My Sister's Keeper was sad. I didn't cry (I rarely ever do) but I thought it was sad. I'm not totally heartless. :D

Gah. Am I the only one that could hardly get through The Incredible Journey (Homeward Bound)? The movie, I guess, was okay, but if you're calling it Homeward Bound, you obviously haven't read the book. Again, I had to read it for school. :/ The only good book my reading teacher has picked this year is Holes.

With books like Marley and me, where the character dies of old age i don't cry, because death is a part of life, and it doesn't really upset me because i know you can't avoid it. I didn't cry with my sisters keeper, because i kept thinking that the author chose the 'easy way out' and that the book should have ended with having to make a decision.

Anna made a choice at the beginning of the book when she decided to sue her parents.

If she was going to give her kidney to her sister anways, then why sue? That was the entire point.
I would sue so I would get my right to do whatever I want and not be forced into it. As a kinda "I can do whatever I want." So my immense act of kindness wouldn't be forced on me.
