Liking cartoons isn't "immature." I mean, they can even be a little mature (i.e. BLEACH)
Although I don't watch Bleach. I watch NickToons. All the time. ;) It's like all the LEGIT Nickelodeon cartoons that used to be on air, but then the series ended or it just got kind of lame. So now, my TV life is Fairly Oddparents and Avatar: The Last Airbender and some SpongeBob. Like, the legit ones from five years ago and stuff. :DEveryone else is like "Did you see Glee last night?!" and I have to say "Uhh, no. I was... um... watching Avatar." "Oh."
Don't knock Glee! I love me some Gleeee.OMG but I love Avatar. That cartoon used to be my entire reason for turning on the TV. It's currently my life's mission to find an episode on the internet. I thought it got pulled off the air!

I'm not positive, but a lot of people upload episodes of different TV shows on YouTube. Just go to the site and type in Avatar. :) Plus you can find some pretty cool music videos made with clips from the show... :D

Ohh, for anyone who watched Nickolodeon back in the late 90's, does Animorphs ring a bell? Two years ago in the fourth grade I loooved that series. Even then it was below my reading level, but I still liked it. xD The TV show didn't do it much justice, but it was still interesting to watch.
I loooooove the Animorphs series, but I hadn't watchNickolodeon in the late 90's since I'm onely one or two years old. I saw a bit of the show on Youtube, but seriously, it was awful. I don't have much experience on how monsters and stuff like that are portrayed in the old days, but I find that the Andalite looks like it was a life size model of a paper mache. A badly made paper mache.

I watch cartoons all the time, well really they are all animes. Avatar, School Rumble, Fruits Basket, Tales of the Abyss OVAs (the ending made me almost cry)..... blah blah.

Anyways, I totally agree that the show was down-right awful. The actors didn't even play the parts right and the show barely followed the series. (And they used flashlights for dracon-beams... like, seriously? xD) I keep hoping that a director or a script writer or someone like that will become inspired to re-create Animorphs into a TV series that's actually worth watching. And I'd really like to see it on a major channel, not a kids channel for two reasons: one, it has a bit of gore in it at times and two, I heard that they canceled it because parents thought it was too creepy for their children to watch.
I would only be a few years old in the late 90's, as well. I think that the guy that was in 'Slumdog Millionaire' will be Sokka. I haven't heard of the guy that plays Jasper being Sokka.

My story, the backwards version of Fairest (look on first page, someone said "Backwards???" or something like that), is more like it has another bump in it. LIke in mine she starts out beatiful, then goes ugly, then has the choice to be pretty or ugly, and guess which she chooses?

i think it was because i realised that the people that hated it did have a point. also ive alsways hated bella so that helped. but most of all, dan bergstein's blogging on twilight etc. (www.nofearshakespeare.com) he is a very very very funny genius. i totally reccomend!

Also, this was quite a while ago, but yeah, the Jasper guy is Sokka in Avatar. When I found out, I was ready to go completely emo and start stabbing myself in the heart, but I've seen clips and then I went "Whoa. The guy can actually... like... ACT. And he's... good."
The thing is, a lot of the actors in Twilight are actually capable of good acting... but they just DON'T in Twilight. Like...
-Kristen Stewart- The most controversial of them all... but she was just in The Runaways, and I've read many stunned reviews of people going "Whoa, she can ACT?!"
-Robert Pattinson- Two words: Harry Potter. He was cool as Cedric, but horrible as Spedward.
-Jasper-whatever-his-name-actually-is- He looked like a constipated emo in Twilight, but I've heard that he's really good at Sokka (like, really really good).
Oh, and then I was forced into watching the Nickelodeon KCAs, and I was like "Hey, he's actually, like, energetic." And kind of Sokka-ish in real life, actually... he's kind of a spaz :)
