Suzanne Collins's descriptions are just AMAZING. Her imagination is just so.. WOW."
I actually just bought that book! I haven't read it yet but I really want to. It looks interesting. It's good to know that it's a good book. I was just turned off that it has romance in it because, even though I love romance, I feel like every book nowadays has romance in it! I was kind of looking forward to something that wouldn't. Hehe, but if it's good I may want to read it!
It's a very quick read, and the plot is rather interesting. But, it's just the writing. It sounds like a 5th grader could have written it. And the characters are...gah! They're so thin and plain!
Oh (nervous laugh) I'm sorry. It's not THAT bad. It just...argh...it frustrates me. I've only read the first book though so they may get better once you get into it more, I s'pose. I just think that strong, interesting characters and deep writing style is equally as important as a good plot.
I LOVE THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS SERIESbut I'm pretty sure there is a topic like this already.
Lemme check, if there is this will be deleted.
The books of Bayern by Shannon Hale (especially River Secrets)Enders Game by Orson Scott Card
North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
The Importance of being Ernest by Oscar Wild
Petey by Ben Mikaelsen
