Ah. Someone had not a booked one of them and that's how I discovered it. I had changed it back to a book - then wasn't so sure.
These three are all the same publisher:http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

There was actually a fourth version as well, Harcourt School Publishers, which I merged them all to. It actually looks like the vast majority should keep that corporate author (the books are mostly readers and such which often have no clearly-defined author/editor of record), so I think I won't add it to the Sisyphus List.

I'm working on these right now. I've got a slow night at the reference desk, so it'll keep me busy :)
Elizabeth wrote: "Single name author: Teresahttp://www.goodreads.com/author/show/..."
Done. Mostly Santa Teresa de Jesús with a Mother Teresa thrown in.
Heather wrote: "Single name author: James.http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/..."
Mostly done. Of the four remaining, 2 are in French by an author who just goes by James apparently and 1 is by the musical group James. The fourth is a textbook that I can't locate reliable names for.
Do you mean that they're two different authors? Because there are two different authors named "John Nash" and one wrote "Cats" and one wrote "James" ladeda and so on... So if you mean 2 different authors I think you're correct, but I can't find any info whatsoever on either of the authors, I just found two different "full lists" of books and one had cats but not any of the others and one had some of the others on that list but not all... so I'm not sure exactly what to tell ya Heather, I'd give this one to someone else to do.. sorry.. not much of a help..
Single name author: Rufus. Knowledge of French and German would be helpful.http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

It actually is just first name as he was a greek physisian in last 1st century AD. On wikipidea it says Rufus of Ephesus (in German that is Rufus von Ephesus). Personally I would leave it as first name only - maybe von Ephesus in brackets - is that allowed? Sorry it's my first day as a librarian.

Yep, combined with Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
Here's a publisher-as-author needing some cleanup:DK Publishing is probably the definitive name, since that what most of the books appear to be importing with.
* Dk
* Dorling Kindersley
* Dorling Kindersley Ltd
* Dorling Kindersley Publishing
* Dorling Kindersley Publishing Staff
* Dorling Kindersley Publishing Staf
* Inc. Dorling Kindersley
* and probably some other variants which I didn't turn up....
I don't know if Barack Obama's inauguration speech was actually published; if it was please merge with President Obama's profile.http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

It was, and I've merged this record into it.
Okay, I'm doing some work on J. Williams, and it looks like John Williams needs additional disambiguation work. (He's on the master list, though I think there may need to be some additional ones created -- e.g., sociologist.)Joan Williams could probably also use some disambiguation

Paula wrote: "529 - Looks fine, I cannot find information that indicates the need to disambig"Most of the books are about psychology and brain teasers, but there are some books, like Decorative Needlecraft and Electrical Fixtures, Wiring, and Appliances that just don't seem to fit with this author's other writings.
Richard Cohen and Richard M. Cohen could both use some disambig work. (And I never did finish J. Williams and John Williams -- message 528. Thanks for doing Joan Williams, Paula!)

The LOC seems to think they are written by the same person.
I think most of these are bulk crates of books direct from the publisher (St Martins) and therefore NAB, but they should probably be reviewed just in case:St Martins Mass Mark
Those all appear to be correct. Pen-name -- probably several different people, but no way to disambig a one-name.
Single name author: Hero. Knowledge of French would prove useful.http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... NOT AN AUTHOR so please delete.Book title listed under this name (The Tudor Secret) I changed to C.W. Gortner (who is the real author) and combined it with the title the book was previously published under (The Secret Lion).
