Thank you, Martin. I just have one question (for now): What is the "bookshelf" for? Is it books that the group is reading or that individuals have read and want to recommend or what? Thanks.
It is books the group has read. At the moment we are voting for our next group read. You can vote by going to the bottom of the page and make your choice or going and hitting the poll button on the navigation menu.
Well Diane, welcome aboard. And what you've posted makes perfect sense. Throw us some WWII topics you are interested in and we'll try and provide some suggested reading in that area. Feel free to start a discussion or ask questions anytime. Good reading.
Books mentioned in this topic
Band of Brothers: E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne from Normandy to Hitler's Eagle's Nest (other topics)The Last Battle (other topics)

That does make sense to me. You enjoy the literature of war but not its actions.
World War II is one of my favorites also. My grandpa served in the Army Air Corp as an MP (Military Police). Please scan through our World War II section and see if anythiny interests you.
If you have any questions feel free to ask or send me or any of the other moderator a message. Try reading our Board Procedure section and see if any of that helps.
Thanks again,
Martin
