Nichole ~Bookaholic~ (nicholebookaholic) | 672 comments It might have something to do with all the repricing of the e-books....I had previously pre-ordered both Lover Mine and Dead in the Family.....but now it is showing as not available in digital format....

Yeah, that's exactly what it has to do with. They haven't reached a new agreement with a few publishers, so they just removed their ebooks. Nice huh? So glad I don't have a kindle.

Jess | 3721 comments I have a kindle, but I'm not that upset yet because Dead in the Family I planned to buy in hardcover. I'm going to see Harris at a book signing and I figured she couldn't sign my kindle lol.

Lover Mine I'm not planning on buying at all.

But it's just so frustrating... I'm just going to blame apple. They screwed up the curve so to speak. Everything was fine until they butted their big heads in and wanted to make a better deal.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 237 comments I've read that Kindle books can be read on the recently released Apple iPad, you just have to download an app simply called 'Kindle for iPad'.

Jess | 3721 comments Just wondering if people have noticed any significant changes in e-reader book prices as of lately?

Nichole ~Bookaholic~ (nicholebookaholic) | 672 comments not really.....most books are the same price or just a bit less then the paperback but the new releases for many of the popular authors are between $12.99 & $14.99.....I have noticed that after a few months those prices will drop....but I have noticed the the e-reader prices in general (except for the sony e-readers) have dropped considerably....

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1831 comments I know some went up slightly due to the whole publishers vs eretailers fiasco that also delayed many ebook releases a few months ago.

I did notice amazon announced their ebook sales have now eclipsed their hardcover sales!

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments @Jess I have not noticed cheaper prices in fact I would say a few have increased. However there seem to be more free books, or maybe I am just more tuned in??

Interesting about the hardback books and I am sure it is true because I have purchased a few hardbacks as e-books for just that reason. For example I brought The Passage and it sells for $15 and I brought it for $10. It still annoys me that an e-book and a paperback book are the same price, yet there is a price break on hardback.

Jess | 3721 comments I also heard about e-books surpassing hardcovers, which would make me think there would be a price change but I haven't really noticed.

I noticed a few more kindle freebies, but the books are usually bad. I haven't noticed any freebies of really popular authors or anything.
